Problems with the Pilot, CX9, and Highlander CUVs is that they don’t offer a premium engine, either a turbo V6 or V8. The Explorer offers a twin turbo V6 and four wheel drive with selectable traction modes.

They also have an M5, S5 and S7. Audi hasn’t heard of them either.

Under what criteria is the 302 a “horrible engine”. They are strong as hell, easy to work on and have such aftermarket parts support quite easy to crank up to 11. It was a simple old school V8 and a good one at that.
