Of course I have heard of supply and demand. I just think that it is insane that people would pay 60 grand plus for this car when for that price you can get a whole other class of car.

Dealers are asking double the asking price and people are actually buying them for that? Seriously? Some people have way more money than sense.

Not only is it dangerous, but it is just the trashiest thing. Maybe it is just me, but it totally grosses me out.

Hotels are fine but I have one particular reason for preferring an RV and that is my dog. Not only is she a dog but she is a Pit Bull and try finding a decent hotel that not only takes dogs, but Pit Bulls. Plus it is not as cheap as you think when you have a dog. The additional charges can be $50-100+ dollars a night

With the original restored interior, maybe. But not the way it is. These Chinooks have become very popular over the past few years so I am sure that they will not have a hard time selling it at a slightly reduced price.

That is probably true. Solar panels would be hard to find and they would not last forever either. Hmmmmm. I guess we could always put the undead in the hamster wheel while dangling a fresh arm or leg in front of them but they are so damn uncoordinated.

Thanks for the info! That is the kind of info that people like me would need to know before we would consider an EV. I know that things change and that the tech is miles ahead of where it was even a few years ago, but if they really want to make EV’s mainstream they need to start testing them in locations other than

That would be awesome. I wonder why an RV maker has not tried to do that yet. I doubt that RV’s have to meet any particular crash standards.

100%. This is my issue with electric cars. There are extreme cases of being stuck on the highway in snowstorms for 6+ hours. I would not feel comfortable with my family driving an EV in winter conditions. It is rare that something like that happens but it does at least one time every winter. I still have yet to see

That’s true. There are plenty of ways to power your EV. Once gas runs out or eventually turns bad from sitting, you will still be able to generate electricity from many sources. An electric would probably be the best apocalypse vehicle. Oh and less maintenance to keep it running.

That is how I feel about them too. I live in Cleveland where it snows so there are times where we can be in traffic for 2 hours on the way to or from work during a snow storm. How much range will there be when sitting there with the heat, headlights, wipers, rear defogger and radio on? Plus, how much range is lost

What about an UAZ Hunter! Just look at those beautiful axles.

OMG it comes in a 5 door. I NEED one.

Maybe our dream will come true since our president and Putin are such good pals. I would be all over a new Niva.

Altimatly, I think that the Leaf will sell in reasonable numbers. You may not be the NV of the neighborhood or the Sentra of attention in the mall parking lot but at least you are taking a Stanza for the environment. Maybe Nissan is going Rogue, and hiding something Xterra that we do not see in the pictures. Nissan is

Even if they doubled the price of this car to add the necessary safety features and beef up the structure, it would still be under 11 grand. 11 grand for a new EV with an 80 mile or so range. It is possible for auto manufacturers to make affordable EV’s (cars in general), but the problem is that they do not have to

That is exactly what it is.

Tell us why they can’t make electric cars cheaper for the US market?

I would love a Sonata wagon. Looks beautiful

Yes! People in the U.S. like to camp, carry their dogs and so on. Americans buy millions of wagons every year, they just call them crossovers.
