The only missing thing is the "based on a real story" tagline. Then this could mean war.

Playing with perceiving a different reality just changing language makes me remember Delany's Babel-17 or Leistner's Mismy were the Borogoves (ok, this wasnt about a language, but strange toys). They don't work in the full extension, but would be nice that them have some reality backing.
That falls more into fantasy realm, and there LOTR's prancing pony or Discworld's mended drum would be more interesting.
In (hot enough) spice everyone will hear you scream
If something was different... wouldnt had been my life. Even the "bad" parts counted at the time of defining it.
Dont forget the pepper spray. Probably they used it on her after being far enough from the food.
Other worlds could be outside our reach, outside our time (probably won't be anything near "colonizing" by numbers another world by 2150, even if we speak about ones in our solar system). The needed technology and resources, even if possible (that as far we know, is not), is simply not here yet.
What "if"? Oh, right, at least they didnt showed their "super" part yet.
The 2008 Mirrors movie bathroom scene had, well, not sure if call it an aesthetical death, in fact, more than something to remember falls into the something to forget category.
You can install on it Android 2.3 (that runs pretty well) or 4.0 (still a few rought edges, but is alpha 0.5 still), and dual boot with WebOS (that is a very ok OS by its own, specially if you don't want to run android specific apps but i.e. browse the web or read books)
Im already waiting for the sequel, where they travel back from Japan to US. The horror don't start in the air, but when they land and the TSA want to check each and every one of the passengers.
FOOK would be a great name too. FBOOK would be more polite, and more probable.
Seems that soon (in astronomical terms) could be a star there. Thats too bad, was hoping that the cloud was a shell with a sun and a planetary system inside with its inhabitants ready to get their own version of Asimov's Nightfall.
There are middle grounds, too, companies developing open source software, and with a price tag for i.e. services (like support, hosting) or special features, or that just opens it because are using it and are open to improvements and resharing with the community. That is open source don't mean it could not have a full…
A password manager, specially the ones that are always available when you need them, is by now a must.
FBReader is one of the best readers for everything, not just for Android. Supports really a lot of formats, and is free even in source.
Lot of the possible answers should be similar to the ones of the "how to measure a buiding with a barometer" question. Too bad Niels Bohr is not available for comments.
There is life somewhere else, thats for sure. But more worlds means that they could be closer than we tought.
He probably is thinking in this scenario: [xkcd.com]
If wasnt the sound, but the meaning, would remind me a bit of Delany's Babel17. Attacking thru language is a very unexplored area still.
