The problem is the variation in settings. Mash the peddle in sport and yeah the mpg sucks. put it in eco and you’ll get 45-50mpg. 

It’s good to see them pushing for more chargers. 

I have a 2011. You have to mash the peddle to get 33mpg. On the highway I regularly get 47-50mpg. 

I think they don’t as that would cut into the 4runner market
