The extension was really to either: remove mays redlines, revoke article 50, or crash out as there wouldn’t be enough time for a new referendum. the EU as since ramped up preperations they began planning for 2 years

I think it is a fallacy to take it as an either/or situation when a hard brexit satisfies elements of both.

I agree with your map, but florida is goign against solar to keep people dependent on the power company. 

other options are solar hot water heaters. 

There was a push to icrease the solar payout between 4-7pm to get people to angle them more SE/SW instead of just south. This is spread out the glut of solar from 10am to 3pm.
