Blame the union for the the shitty CBA! No one put a gun to Bell’s head and forced him to sign those contracts. It’s not like the Rooneys are hoarding the money for themselves. The Steelers have had less salary cap space than most teams for years. Any additional money that goes to Bell is money that isn’t going to

Not sure that’s true about the Steelers (or Bell) “deserving” anything. Both parties are playing by the rules set down in the CBA. The Steelers exercise their leverage, Bell exercises his leverage.

Word on the LA Sports talk radio Rams waiting to pay Donald was more just to allow him to avoid camp than it was any real resistance to paying him.

The Raiders ponied up a ton of money to move to Vegas, pay a man 100 million dollars who last coached when George W Bush was in the White House, and won’t budge to pay the best defensive player in the AFC who is entering his physical prime? Are we sure Al Davis is dead??

I bet you booed when they drafted Porzingis

The funny thing is Knox is really really good, and Fizdale is really really good. The Knicks might be good soon!

Making $3,450 is a phenomenal reason to stop being a Knicks fan.

Why? I agree with her political stances, but honestly what makes her any better than anyone already in the field doing this? Because she was so “brave” talking about politics on ESPN, a network up until about now was already left minded to begin with. What has she genuinely done to deserve such acclaim that alot of

This is probably going to be a hot take: but no, she wasn’t. I’ve always appreciated her honestly regarding matters outside of sports, but when it comes to actually covering sports (which, like it or not, is still what ESPN does), she wasn’t very good.

Disney has a fiduciary duty to its stockholders. It is not unreasonable, or gutless, for the management to decide that having ESPN associated with political commentary doesn’t fulfill that duty. Jemele Hill wants to do political commentary, and that’s great. She just doesn’t fit with ESPN any better than Rush Limbaugh

It’s funny with Jemele Hill. I liked her “political” or her non-sports work on ESPN. I absolutely hate any time she actually speaks about sports because I don’t think she ever has anything interesting to say about them.

I dunno, it seems like this whole issue is making a mountain out of Jemele Hill.

Well, considering the guy appeared more innocent than guilty based on the evidence, or rather lack thereof, against Coach Meyer specifically, when this news story broke, the blame should have fallen on the people that HE REPORTED these incidents to when he found outI believe in 2016. This, I believe, would have led

They play 38 games because each team plays every other team once at home and once away. Moving games away from that fair model, which has served as the successful basis of this and every other European league since the original Football League in 1888, as well as the Champions league since its inception, makes things

We now live in a world where law enforcement aren’t the ones who are supposed to investigate crimes, but football coaches and commisioners are.

No biggie. Shitty American cable companies like ESPN would only air it on a streaming service that they’d, most likely, gouge you into buying.

20-25 percent of NFL players are able to come back

I really don’t understand the need to report specific actions in what are clearly the acute psychotic episodes of a person with mental illness and, in this case, compounded by grief.

ESPN over the last couple of years proved conclusively that it can’t do politics. The shows where they tried to combine political and sports commentary were unwatchable, not least because you had a bunch of sports reporters in way over their heads when it came to government and current events. The single political pers
