It was a Holden Commodore, it was even built in Australia. Nothing wrong with that, just saying that the best Pontiac wasn’t any more of a Pontiac than the Vibe.

That wasn’t a Pontiac either, it was a Holden
These are tied with PT Cruisers as the most uncomfortable shitboxes I’ve ever been in. My dad was saddled with one of each as rental cars, and returned them both within a day.
My neighbour actually has a Tradesman 1500. Sure, it’s a crew cab, but I was like holy shit, someone bought a base model pickup outside of a fleet setting.
The only way that will be safe for the road is with a new frame, or with the rusty sections completely replaced, and a lot of reinforcing.
Should be interesting to see a comeback in the actual sense of the word, as opposed to a new company buying an old nameplate.
All they had to do was not give it a chrome unibrow, since most people with functioning eyes wouldn’t even consider it after looking at it. Although I see the new Civics constantly, which also suffer from chrome unibrow-itis, so what do I know.
How soon can they start selling it in Canada? I need one.
The previous gen was great, apart from the uncomfortable seat and seating position. Forgot to mention that as well about the current one.
I probably would too, but I’d really rather have neither of those
Good. I drove a 2015 for work for almost two years, it was garbage. I can’t believe Toyota is still selling them with a 4 speed auto. It’s heavier than the second gen but has the same drivetrain.
I was intrigued until this part
Like a great great great great grandfather to steam lorries
Not quite the same situation, but I brought my 2006 Legacy into my closest Subaru dealer - not the one that my grandpa bought it from - to have the Takata airbags replaced, as well as a couple other recalls that involved updating the computer.
I’ve only driven one car with any regularity that had an infotainment screen. It was a 2015 Yaris, I drove it for work, and the screen was the worst thing about that car after the transmission. Going from physical buttons to tune the radio, to a laggy touchscreen that freezes sometimes, is not progress.
Ah no that was me taking the photo of one of my friends who came on the trip
Vancouver to Montreal in a $600 ‘97 Blazer, and back again. 10,000kms total, sleeping in the truck or tenting in random spots. This post would be stupidly long if I included detail, and I don’t have time at the moment for that, so here’s some pictures.
The ergo vision idea is excellent, as is washable, removable seat covers.
