What if we have curvy watches and big stereo equipment?

Oh hey, it’s the Subaru dealer that did some recall work on my Legacy. I was already wary of them, since they fried my ECM while trying to update it, and I didn’t get my car back for a week. Now I definitely won’t ever go back there.
I knew I was gonna be disappointed by a new 8 Series, there was no way they were going to design a worthy successor to the E31. Even so, I’m more disappointed than I thought I would be.
Jesus christ that is awful. It looks like someone tried to describe the current 6 series over the phone to a 10 year old.
The thing I miss the most about my E21 is those seats.
Sometimes there’s nothing you can do to avoid an accident. Even if you’re driving defensively.
My ‘97 Blazer had torsion bar front suspension. Maybe it doesn’t suck in a ranger, but everything about the front end of a 4x4 S10 is pretty awful.
Yesterday I saw someone driving a C3 Corvette with the roof panel on the luggage rack
I already hardly do anything myself. Partly because I have a car that hasn’t broken at all yet, and partly because I moved somewhere with no room to work on anything. Also it’s usually raining here. Wrenching is basically on hold until I move, or rent a garage.
Ah, so he got a vanity plate that says “EXOTIK”. It all makes sense now.
My dad bought one new in 1976, for $7500 I believe. He sold it in 1981 or so, he’d moved to the city and apparently they’re not brilliant city vehicles. He’s not a car guy, but that’s one of the only vehicle she’s had that he reminisces about. I should be buying a 1989 Dodge Raider soon, not exactly an FJ40, but I…
Ugh. I wouldn’t even think about entertaining that concept until there’s no gas left. It’s not possible to convert an old car like that without completely ruining its character. The government can take my wonderful old internal combustion engines when I’m dead.
There’s a really good alignment shop near me that has two Ford Tempos and a Mercury Topaz in shockingly good condition, I think they’re the loaner cars.
Well, the amount of hatred being levelled at them in the comments is a bit reassuring
I don’t tend to say this about crossovers, but that is gorgeous
My poor, beautiful, infuriating E21. I made the mistake of falling in love with this car before thoroughly looking it through, and overpaying. It was a 5 speed, 1982 320i, with every option a 320is would have except for the LSD and rear sway bar. The Recaros and sport steering wheel were wonderful. It was even already…
Yes they do, I’ve had it happen to me, and seen it happen to others many times. People are assholes.
I had a 325e....then I drove a 318is, and a 325i. I no longer have that 325e. The eta is the cheapest way into the world of E30, but that motor is such a dog. The regular M20 doesn’t feel like it’s lacking any torque, so the eta just feels like a punishment version of the M20. When the fun starts in a 325i, the 325e…
