It seems like a good candidate for a full restoration, so it’s a NP for someone who would want to buy it, drop at least another $15k into it, then have a showpiece probably worth around the combined total. For someone who wants a vehicle to actually drive though, ND.

A good $5k more than what seems to be the market rate. Even if this is the best of the bunch, I don’t think it is worth that much of a jump.

Current garage is a ‘16 Town & Country and a Kia Niro EV. I’m very happy with it.

Still favorite vehicle I ever owned (ICE at least) was my Kia Ray back in Korea. Boxy city car with one sliding door that made getting twin car seats (and pretty much anything else) in and out an absolute breeze.

Just here to comment that the garage looks a lot like Cameron’s place in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, just minus a Ferrari (and this Qvale is not an adequate replacement in the least).

In this market? Should be a nice price for someone who needs a reliable daily driver, especially on long highway commutes where this will be a bland, but very comfortable ride.

Used car prices are currently 30% higher than what they were 1-2 years ago, so anyone saying this is a grand too high and voting ND isn’t really accounting for current market conditions.

You’re not finding a better one for less than $20k, so I have to call it a NP in the current market.

I think the simple answer is that the most likely consumer for the truck isn’t towing heavy stuff often if ever. This is still a consumer vehicle, just one slightly better at Home Depot runs and camping than other EVs.

If it’s all cosmetic and an easy fix, then why didn’t they fix it? Price still seems a bit too high for all the miles and unknowns on a project.

Checked out a few job postings for police officers, oddly enough “endanger suspects and civilians by engaging in high speed chases for late model luxury SUVs” wasn’t found in any of the lists of responsibilities.

Taking the ad at face value that it “runs and drives great” and the only mechanical issue is the AC (which is likely a big leap of faith, but let’s assume), then it has to be a NP. There really aren’t cheaper Land Cruisers out there and people want them. Cleaned up a bit, this one might even be flippable for a profit.

Right on the borderline. Had the price started with a 7, I’d probably have gone NP, but my gut tells me ND on this one.

That seems to be the going price for stock Boxter S examples of that vintage so it probably all comes down to whether or not you like the modifications. They look alright to me, so I’ll go with NP.

Completely unusable truck bed that makes the car worse than the original in every way possible? Random junk yard engine from who-knows-what? Frame that was broken, extended, then put back together like Ethan Hawke’s legs in Gattaca? Where do I sign?!?!?

It’s interesting, but not that interesting. It’s not really going to turn heads and it won’t be much fun to drive. Not worth $17k.

Fact is that with display prices these days, the touchscreens aren’t really any more expensive than old-school designs like this. Add in the backup camera requirement for a lot of segments and markets and it just doesn’t make sense not to have a screen for most vehicles.

Is this an eight year old car ad that somehow got reposted? How does anything like this exist for $2k in today’s market?

Saw the price in the headline, the first photo and immediately scrolled right down to vote ND. I’m not sorry at all for doing so.

Saw a perfect NP week on the horizon and just had to shut it down.
