Nintendo’s viewpoint is of course skewed towards IP protection and motivated by an extremely conservative Japanese company culture. I agree (and separately, US law agrees) with some but not all of what they say.

Is that Weird Al?

On one hand, no idea who these people are.

Hyrule Warrios has dual-screen co-op. You can buy a bunch of DLC, season pass is $20. I like the lock-on play features, control scheme is modified to be more Zelda-like.

This wasn’t really made with a Western market in mind. Squeenix only recently started releasing Final Fantasy games somewhere close to globally simultaneously with multiple languages and platforms, since it has pretty broad global popularity.

It was supposed to come last holiday. And the holiday before. Though we did get an intermediate Shantae game, so it’s not all bad, and we know this game is coming out... very different circumstances. I don’t know why Kickstarter even has ETAs... deadlines are never met, almost as a rule.

WayForward... I’m still waiting on Shantae 4. Isn’t that TWO YEARS overdue?

To be fair, they haven’t stopped or given up. According to their facebook post, they are releasing the latest build to backers soon (though who knows what shape that is in). They also have (according to the note) had actual conversations with publishers, so they are trying.

Add it to the list of VG Kickstarters I backed and won’t reep anything from. Now I guess I’m out $20.

Nah, the problem is that black in the day, Japan got all things first. 1 week before release the ROM was leaked and scripts were dumped and translation crowd sourced. Within a week or two there was functional, playable translation of Black & White which had continual updates until release. I think X and Y was the

TOO MUCH ANIME. I can’t tell if any of it will be good. :/

Is that a screenshot from the fan translated ROM of Black & White? How appropriate.

But HAVE YOU LEARNED TO DRIVE A STICK YET?

A topless woman is actually pictured with he dead goat. How did you miss her? She’s, I guess, “wearing” a thin coat of red paint over the area in question.

I mean, logically, why else would you write a write article on Kotaku where your position is so obviously WRONG?

Full Frontal Assault?

Nah, that’s not all they said. You forgot the first line:

Anime? It may be kinda new to anime, but it’s a tried-and-true formula.
