There really needs to be something like this for Dads. My wife has a ton of friends, I have zero and with her job I basically have the “Mom” roll so I know how hard it is. I have tried Meetup with very little success.

I’m all for child safety, but I have a hard time reconciling keeping a kid in the backseat until they’re 13 and then expecting them to be mature enough just three years later to drive that same car. I have no answer to this conundrum. Do we increase the driving age to 18? Do we rethink front seat safety to protect…
It’s also disingenuous. The argument that players deserve play (they do) is independent of whether Tony Bennett deserves a raise (he does).
“By taking up an unnecessary seat, you’re denying another traveler from taking that spot.”
As someone who travels a lot for work, I see the oversold thing happen WAY too often. Airlines will ask if passengers are willing to take a gift card to make room on the plane.
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Also, if I’m not mistaken, didn’t this very blog at one time suggest that travelers look for hidden city ticketing as a way to save money on their next flight?
unpopular opinion here....i completely agree. saw this in theaters in 3d and it was one of the best movie going experiences in a long time.
I am, and will always be, a huge fan of Tron: Legacy. Loved the effects, the look, and the incredible score. :D
“Duel of the Fates” blows all of the fight scenes in the original trilogy out of the water.
Yeah, who would want to see things like the Apollo 11 command capsule, Spirit of St. Louis, the Wright flyer, or the Bell X1...
100% The Udvar-Hazy Center is epic, but so is the one on the Mall. If you only have time on your trip to DC to see some monuments and some of the Smithsonian, make sure the Air and Space Museum downtown is on the list.
Call me crazy, but I think there may be room for a middle ground between “VAR is excellent and nobody can have any complaints about it whatsoever” and “VAR is awful and evil and terrible.” And I think the vast majority of people who are saying “VAR is a sin against God and nature” are really saying “VAR shows promise…
The way I think they’re applying the rule makes sense. Sure Lloyd was offside, but not egregiously so. If Lloyd had been in the same position but onside (6-12 inches back) the defender absolutely makes the same play on the ball.
All my life I have anchored myself to a show, watching it ad nauseam to the point I could recite all the dialogue by heart. People ask why I keep watching the same episodes over and over, and I liken it to someone listening to the same song over and over. I just enjoy seeing it performed. The shows that have defined…
There’s also no reason for a person to be more paranoid about it than the phone that they also paid for and carry around with them at all times.
Two things nobody ever talks about when this comes up:
I understand how some people may not see music as therapy, but for me it was incredibly cathartic. For reasons previously stated :).
You press it immediately when the burger goes on the pan, before any of the fat can liquefy. It’s still cold so it doesn’t squirt out.
