In addition to many of the items listed above, I always keep an emergency kit (flares, thermal blanket, shovel, water, tow rope, etc) in all of my cars, but in my beater I also throw in a socket set, a manual for the car, odb2 scanner, rain jacket, and a jerry can.

If you want to get a Maxima, buy a 4th or 5th gen one. Those are the best of the lot.

I totally agree. I’m another developer without a university degree. I work for a well respected company and we hire all levels of programmers. You don’t want all highly skilled senior devs, you need a mix of Jr and Intermediate level devs as well. Even our co-op students can contribute a lot and they know a lot less…

But does talking on the phone differ from talking to a passenger? If not, then either we have to put the driver in an isolated compartment or we should just allow people to talk on their phones.

I learned cursive for many years in school and it was mandatory for assignments up to grade 7 or so. As an adult I still take notes by hand (one of the few at the tech company I work at) but I NEVER use cursive. It is slower, harder to read, and, being left handed, messier. Cursive for lefties is really annoying due…
