I mean that he thought that his American car was actually a Canadian car, so that he thought the the speed was in km/h but was in fact showing m/h.

Death penalty costs more than life imprisonment.
Doing a quick google search brought up the following as the first 2 results
Yes, but studies show that stricter punishments just cause MORE crime. So-called "Club-Feds" focusing on rehab help to end the criminal cycle.
People also don't seem to realize that studies have shown the harsh conditions and longer sentences increase crime.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say with that article. VW has been making terrible cars for a couple of decades now. Having some other cars fare worse in initial quality does not somehow make VW cars any good.
Nice. If I came into a chunk of change I would definitely treat myself to a nice car (after the mortgage is paid off of course). I'd probably lean towards an F-Type R, or with a bigger budget, a 458.
Ok, I never said that I wanted to buy a Focus ST. If VW only has one car that is reliable as one of Ford's cars, that is pretty bad.
But testosterone comes from the testicles (in men) and is linked to courage, so this is actually an accurate phrase to use. I guess if you want to be gender neutral you could say "Grow some balls/ovaries" as apparently most testosterone in women comes from the ovaries. But why should every phrase be gender neutral,…
Since he's Canadian, he should just say that he though the speedo was in km/h, not m/h.
There is a large percentage of people (especially in the US) that seem to think that anyone committing any crime for any reason deserve to get the death penalty. They seem to think that stealing a purse should equal a life sentence.
I'm just going buy what the quality surveys have said. Ford may have issues with some of their cars, but VW seems to have major issues with every car they sell here.
I can definitely understand not wanting to tell people when you inherit a bunch of money. Either way, sounds like it worked out in the end and I bet he loves his ride.
That's pretty fair though, since police have a much greater ability to make money by abusing their job, they also have to expect more scrutiny. He probably should have come out and told his coworkers about it when he bought it rather than waiting until they saw him driving it.
If they ever got their reliability issue resolved, I'd love to buy a GTI.
The Touareg doesn't come with leather standard? Wow, it is less upscale than I though. If options get it even close in price to the Porsche then it is no contest.
At a $7k price difference, definitely get the Porsche. Resale alone would like more than make up for that.
Why do they spell it with 2 "m"s though?
Is the pricing that close in the US? On their Canadian site I see just under $50k for the Tiguan, but $67k for the base Cayenne. $17k+ is a big difference.
