I have a tires plus card, and everytime I’ve used it so far, 4 sets of tires 2-3 years apart, it’s been 0% interest if paid off in 6 months. Buy tires, pay off in 5 months, to make sure I don’t go over. Works well, but it’s another one of those cards with a 29% rate, so you have to make absolutely sure you get it paid…

30k is a weird amount for a 4 year lease. Most likely got a 2017 MY car in 2018, and went with 10k miles per year. If that’s the case, he’s driving over 35k miles a year, so by the time to turn the lease in, if he keeps driving the same amount, he will be over 90k miles. Oof. With leases, you gotta be more realistic…

There are other options on the lease. Sell it 3rd party or trade it in as a used car. Just have to do the math to make sure you get enough money from the sale to pay off the loan (yes, leases are a type of loan), that’s especially true for a 3rd party sale.
