It actually hasn’t. I feel like gaming has the same complexity as it had in the 90s, at least to some degree. We’ll use my dad as an example.

“Come on, Shitler.”
I love the mention of the boxes. Anyone who purchased one of the infamous “Battle Chests” or one of the three expansions for World of Warcraft with their big heavy manuals would know.
Invert Y on mouse, keep it normal on a controller. I have no idea why. I think it’s because I grew up with PC shooting, and there was a large gap before I started to play something like Halo or Gears at a friend’s place. Inverted on a controller just... Doesn’t work for me. It’s so weird.
This this this this! I always pictured, as a child, my hand on the mouse as my hand on my character’s head, manipulating it.
Ah, every Guy Fieri post needs to be reminded about this interview. Dude is wholesome as hell, and it’s still my favourite episode.
I’d surely be just as baffled by these workers if that happened, I’m not endorsing the people making fun of them. I’m pointing out that a spinning robot with a tarp on it is hilarious.
I will always like this one more, and have yet to see a “Machine going crazy” that has topped it.
That’s typical. Just another blowoff excuse from him, I guess.
“With how Rhys appears in the game, I don’t think it actually matters at all.” Don’t you dare, Randy. I deleted that goddamn POS from existence in Tales, don’t tell me your milquetoast explanation is that the MFer came back through Rhys’s body or something.
Thank you. This was beautiful, informative, and a little bit harrowing (I’m 29 and should really go to the doctor.)
Gonna just sit here and read me some Don Quixote at the Taco Bell.
Star Wars! This was an amazing stream with some great discussion. (I need to change my kinja name...)
They say cancel culture isn’t real, but if this is true, then fuck Korn. I like a bunch of their shit, but I’ll gladly stop giving them the listen count.
Now I want to know who was behind this, WA2, Tales of Destiny, and Lunar 1+2's intros. Ugh, the rabbit hole.
I know it’s not a very popular show, but it’s one that I absolutely adore. October 6, y’all.
I’m imagining a customer poking their head through the staff door to politely inform us that music is distraction and we might hurt ourselves.
With a cook’s wage, and in the cook’s conditions, we get to play music. It’s a crew of four, and we cycle whose music goes into the stereo. It makes a hot, busy, painful shift go by just a little bit better. We’ve had nights where it was so busy nobody was able to even put music on in the first place, and those nights…
There might be a reason for it. “All Walls Must Fall” as a good reason for a male protagonist, so you never know.
The dialogue looks a bit like shadowrun, which I’m down for. I’m gonna add it to the wishlist, but oof... there are a lot of games.
