What's weird is that Jurassic Park's T-Rex scenes are still the best ones on that list. Not in terms of how fancy the animation is, but how real it looks. Which, once upon a time, was the purpose of CG, after all.

Memento is easily the best one of the bunch.

Forgive my ignorance, but I thought Zookeeper was Mall Cop 2, or some-such. Why is it relevant to this list?

B) the CGI has been exceptional for a TV show

Pretty good summary, actually.

Do you normally assume "mutated" when you see a scar (or rash)?

I don't know, seems like quite a stretch to go from "Huh, skin's looking kinda scabby." to "He's going to sprout some legs pretty soon."

It wouldn't fit (the diameters are quite different), I assume they meant .44 both times.

That makes a lot of sense.

That's just an entirely made up thing.

Ok, show of hands - how many people managed to not giggle when the Alien Overlords showed up?

Why would kids be easier to manipulate on a genetic level?

So does Hannu just not read science fiction, or is that an "homage" of some sort?

Ah, the old "I don't get it, so it must all be bunk" argument.

I saw the link, I just don't have a subscription to Physical Review Letters.

Can you elaborate on which inconsistencies you have in mind?

What's the phenomenon? The article seems to only give the "Like a balloon, and... something bad happens!" explanation.

It's commonly a first name.

Some people go out of their way to find things to be bothered about. I for one, will be outraged, and deeply offended, if Christian Girl is no longer referred to as such (or Jesus Girl).

Wait, what evidence is there of this?
