Let's keep our fingers crossed it all works out in the end. 🙂

I have no doubt that Ethan will prevail in the end. After her actions at the end of Ebb Tide, I'm more concerned with Vanessa being given the opportunity to redeem herself.

I'm with Sorrowen on this one, but not so much in the confines of this season. For me, it has more to do with her treatment throughout the series: the two brothers have been emotionally AND physically abusing Ives almost her entire life. She admits this during her confrontation with Sweet/Dracula. For her to dismiss…

I couldn't agree more. Lyle's mention of Imhotep pretty much confirmed it.

So what's the consensus on Hecate? Was her influence on Ethan a spell? Or was he just impressionable? The whole thing was resolved a bit too quickly, and without any explanation.

In The Nightcomers episode, we learned two very important details. First, Vanessa is a Daywalker. Up until this point in the show, we know that she's clairvoyant and affected by other-worldly forces, but we don't know exactly what she is. Second, we learned about the verbis diablo—and more importantly, the dangers…

That's interesting. I would have put my money on the spiritual being. Why would an earthly creature be the more dangerous of the two?

I respect your opinion. And to be honest, I don't mind a bottle episode every season or two. It's just that given the expanse of the show this season, and the limited number of episodes, I could have done without it.

I'm going to be in the minority with this opinion, but I thought the episode was self indulgent. Yes, the acting was superb, but that was all there was to it. Apart from Lucifer being the weaker of the two brothers (come on, really??), we didn't learn anything new. I think there are better ways for this show to bait…

It's Perdita Weeks. There hasn't been much buzz about her character, but she's supposed to be any ally to Vanessa and company:

I think that Eva Green stands out partly because Ives is an over-the-top character, but also because of Green's fearless approach to the role. She really does an exceptional job. However, I agree with you regarding the cast. PD is one of the rare shows where every character—even the despicable ones—is beloved by the…
