I don’t mean to sound rude, but.... what? Reading something in digital format is still reading. Because there are words, and you process them in your brain. The medium is the only real difference. If I read a book on my phone, using Amazon’s Kindle app, and read the same book in hardback, the difference is that the…
I want to make a time-travel show where two people get hold of a prototype time machine, eventually find out that they can’t find their way back to their own timeline due to the nature of time in the series’ universe and the limitations of the machine, and then just say “fuck it” and start dicking around fucking with…
We knew that the US Department of Transportation was testing connected vehicle technology in the relatively small…
Do you watch SyFy at all? They reuse actors for things all the time. They tossed Colin Ferguson into Haven, they’ll put Wheaton in anything for a cameo - pretty sure Matt Frewer has been in almost every SyFy series ever at some point.
I’ll disagree. Killjoys gave me exactly what I wanted - characters living in a setting that’s well designed. Sure, they’re Killjoys, but I’m not interested in bounty after bounty, I’m interested in who these people are, and what the world is like around them, and that’s exactly what the show’s giving me.
I feel like everything that you’re suggesting is what I loved* about the source material for The Expanse, but I feel like that’s not what anyone making the show (at least, based on the promotional material) wants to focus on. I’m not prejudging, and I’m going to watch the Hell out of it when it starts, but the thing…
I still think they should add a corgi dog to the Killjoys cast for season 2.
Gotta kill these walkers...but first....a selfie.
This Saturday, a small drone carrying the abortion-inducing pills mifepristone and misoprostol will fly from Germany…

Yeah, there’s already a data destroying hard drive. it’s called a “Seagate”.
Damnit, could you warn us when you’re going to show us a picture of someone so unfathomably beastly. I mean...so beastly. Can’t possibly stand to look at him. Who could ever love him?
Without getting into too much graphic detail, as a person with a laparoscopically placed band (a Lap Band) to help with weight loss, I’ve had to get used to, from time to time, getting my face closer to a toilet than I’d like, to eject something that’s run afoul of the band, and I can tell you that those Worthington…
The same goes for “drone.”
I would accept quadcopter too since the copter in helicopter is derived from ‘pteron’/‘wing’ in that round about way language does. And the Heli ‘spiral.’
There’s nothing wrong with quadcopter. It is descriptive and has a known definition, it doesn’t have to be technically correct.
One of my best Ingress experienecs was going adventuring with one of my teammates who was a neighbor that lived a couple blocks away from me. We chartered a sailboat with some other people and went on a multi-day sailing/hiking trip primarily, but had a secondary objective of securing a very difficult to access portal…
I really don’t get the love for Ex Machina. It was an okay movie, I guess, and full of fine performances, but it’s not even in my top ten for the year. It just seemed slow, predictable, with nothing new to say. It asked questions, sure, but it was nothing jaw-dropping. Maybe it was just the effects (which were superb,…
ABC’s latest science fiction drama, The Whispers, is loosely based on a short story by Ray Bradbury. But as our…
