@rathat: The chip is what I meant. While iPhone does do pretty good with cell-tower triangulation, it doesn't communicate with a satellite to track your position in real-time. That's what's different. And also that you have to buy the garmin app, which isn't cheap, whereas Android has google navigation (w/ sat gps)…

@rathat: GPS that connects to a satellite and does turn by turn directions, no. iPhone has google maps. Google maps does not equal GPS.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to rail on them for canceling the Courier, no? I want to see more Giz blogger nerd rage over that project. It was idiotic of them to cancel it and there needs to be prominent voices saying so.

Forget live wallpaper, live satellite GPS is a reason to miss Android. I just switched from iPhone to Droid X and I am LOVIN the GPS. Killer feature.

Nice summary. As a DX owner, I am also hoping that they improve that web browser too. Having a good web browser on the kindle would really put the device on a different level.
