The top selling sedans in the US are the Camry, Civic, Corolla, and Accord. The Accord has always been good, and the Civic has made a comeback recently, but I’m guessing the vast majority of buyers drive them like they’d drive a Camry or a Corolla. That is to say, not exactly carving up corners.

This isn’t exclusive Americans. Volkswagen has been really stingy with their safety tech in recent years, distributing it piecemeal through the lineup. To get ACC on a GTI you have to go to the Autobahn model, whereas a base model Honda Civic can get it.

Based on the reviews, it sounds like the Palisade should have just been a Genesis from the getgo. I guess you can just slap a bigger engine, some aluminum trim and alcantara in there and call it a day.
