I just finished your story and I want to tell you that I’m so sorry about your dad. I know what it is like so I just want to say, I feel you.

(note: she found the parts of the little mermaid to be terrifying))

Is your last name 'Connor'? ;)

WTF! I have so many chills.

I thought about reaching in to feel for the bottom...

I grew up in a tiny rural community in central Indiana. During that time my family became close to a Mennonite family who lived near town. Let’s call them the Smiths. So the Smiths lived on a small farm with a menagerie of animals. Chickens, goats, horses, etc... and once or twice a year they would travel back to the

Time traveler for sure. Maybe it’s your great grandson who heard what an amazing woman you were during your life and used his time traveling abilities to come find you?

I don’t know if this counts, but it is hands down the oddest thing I’ve ever experienced and have no explanation to this day as to what this could have been.

I really don’t know if this’ll be scary to anyone else. It doesn’t have a satisfying denouement, and I wasn’t even privy to all the details, as young as I was.

I tried submitting this last year, and because I was super late- it got lost in the greys and maybe 6 people saw it. So here it is again, with updates as many things have changed since I last wrote this story.

Last summer I was at my sister’s house discussing her cat Abby who was very sick and seemed to be on death’s doorstep. As we were talking I saw her other cat, Indy, run behind Abby and round the corner to the pantry. I thought to myself “Wow I haven’t seen Indy in forever!” and I rushed forward to pet her but she

My ghost stories are not particularly scary. My dad built a bathroom into the end of a hallway in a house we used to live in, and sometimes while showering, you would see a man striding through on the other side of the curtain. It sounds like it would be scary, but in the moment, it would feel completely average and

My brother has been prone to night terrors/sleep paralysis his entire life. As far as I can tell it’s gotten better, but a couple months ago we saw Hereditary and it’s fucked us both up. He told me that the night we saw Hereditary he had a really scary sleep paralysis experience. While dozing off after the movie he

Gonna share a story from when I was a kid. I’ve shared it years before but I have a new update since the last time I did.

When I was a in high school there was a consensus among my family that our house was haunted. Sometimes my eldest sister would be home alone and go into the basement to do laundry or get some item and would swear she could hear rapid footsteps coming from upstairs. But here’s my story.

I can’t remember if I’ve posted this before, but here’s a short and just slightly spooky one.

My story is all fractured pieces of things, gaps in narrative because this happened when I was eight, but some of the implications seem to add up in my mind to something somewhat disturbing.

When I was a kid, I loved Power Rangers more than life itself. I had Power Rangers Halloween costumes that I just kept on-hand

First of all, I look forward to scaring the shit out of myself by reading these every year.

I used to live in an old row home in Philly. According the records, the house was built in 1905. For the three years that I lived there, my husband and I constantly felt “off” like there were bad vibes in the house. We were always getting inexplicably sick and so were our pets. My bedroom was on the second floor, at
