A friend of mine is an Important Person in D.C., and recently told me about meeting Jane Fonda, who came to stump for one of the political causes that my friend was consulting on. She said Fonda was unbelievably patient, kind, and generous, and that she was in awe of her. My friend is not an easily impressed person,

Congrats on the Ragnar! As a resident of a small mountain town, it is pretty hilarious/annoying at the cell coverage, and while I can’t get reception at the north end of town by the ice cream shop, I can certainly like a tweet at many serene alpine lakes at 7-12K ft.

As someone barely old enough to call myself a Millennial, I never knew about this whole controversy until today... which is why, apparently unlike those who have such a visceral hatred of her, I was able to get the full story from multiple credible sources online, as opposed to parroting falsehoods that some friend of

Saying high level military commanders who violate the Geneva Conventions should be tried international courts is not saying American POWs should be executed.

and here is Jane Fonda standing in front of the cells holding American prisoners and calling for their execution.

i was about to say, i’m a millenial! there’s your headline “Millenials Kill Thriller Record”

Problematic as Jane’s Viet Nam episode was, it has over the years become a weathervane attracting a garish, endless history of menacing, mentally-unstable veterans, and turned her media presence into a frequent dump site for hordes of tedious anti-plastic surgery crusaders, yowling ageism cretins, and people unable to

Also came here to say this. It’s unfortunate that a website that regularly (and justly) bashes Woody Allen has a blind spot about MJ.

Came here to say this.

This statement is so fucking annoying because it’s classic corporate speak.

For real, Thriller came out when I was in grade school and half of my friends are grandparents now.

i’m sorry everyone, it’s me - i’m the one that’s streamed it a few hundred times to push it over the edge. i can’t help it though! “take it to the limit” is my calm down song

If my dad was alive, he would definitely be responsible for this. My mom though, she doesn’t listen to music anymore (which absolutely breaks my fucking heart considering her past), but I grew up on The Eagles. She was a huge fan. So I blame her!

One - the Eagles are a great band and Two: they (afaik) werent child abusers.

My dad is strictly in the “I hate the fucking Eagles” camp. He would never do this.

Actually, it’s not fine the way it is, they need to stop that damn auto-play shit that happens if you hover over an episode or title for more than two seconds. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea?

Amazon already does this, and it’s super annoying. If I didn’t check out the show when you had it plastered all over the top of your app, I’m not going to when you interrupt the shows I’m actually trying to watch.

I swear to Dog, I will start flipping tables and setting things ON FIRE if this becomes an all-the-time thing. I’m already irritated by the preview thingies starting if I linger too long while browsing. Ugh. Netflix. Stop. You’re fine the way you are, man.

I need to delete my Netflix account.
