Edited because I’m terrified of saying anything about my work on the internet anymore. Sorry.

I was coming here to post “if you don’t know that dog, leave it the eff alone, service animal or no.” I love dogs, too, but don’t ever approach one you don’t know, esp. not without clearing it with the owner first. I felt this way even before a friend got bit by a neighbor’s dog this week.

The brewpub built inside an old grain silo.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why, because I have nothing in common with her. But I relate so much to Grace. I also want her clothes.

I was reading about a proposed bill this morning that basically stated “we have no fucking idea why this is happening because no one’s collecting data.” If passed, the bill would mandate data collection so we can figure it out.

More proof that America’s professed reverence for the family is bullshit. The more I look around, the more I see how policy conflicts with lip service. The people running things hate most of us and really hate our kids.

That’s fucked up that you pay less for lower cholesterol. Some of that shit is genetic/hereditary and, to a certain extent, not in your control. My family has zero history of heart disease, cancer, or type 2 diabetes and it’s not because we’re all vegan crossfitters or whatever. We’re just lucky.

Or maybe “fish oil is a scam” is Jezebel for “this study shows little benefit in regards to heart health and didn’t even look at other reported benefits.” ;)

You are incorrect, good sir/madam. “Practically perfect in every way” is the side effect of consuming raw, fair trade, hydroponic molasses. You’re welcome.

I read the headline and thought “well, seeing as I manage to not pick my nose when I’m in other people’s cars, I don’t really care.” Then I read the article. Broadcasting that shit without passenger knowledge/consent is creepy, even if I’m just sitting there looking out the window.

I come from a family of landsharks and I was sent to an orthodontist at age 7. Among many other things done in my mouth, my wisdoms were removed via oral surgery long before they saw the light of day (or even tried to see it.) Apparently some now question the necessity of removal as a matter of course, but it was

I’d never heard of it when it happened and no one I know had either. I just know “don’t give your credit card info to someone who calls you!” and knew that if it wasn’t a scam, the hotel wasn’t letting me check out without getting it.

Speaking of fraud and travel... . I traveled for work recently and received a 7:30 AM call on the room phone from someone claiming he was from guest services. He said the computer system went down overnight and he needed my credit card information. I said I would stop by the desk on my way out to provide any needed

US criminals are armed. Until that changes, an unarmed force would be useless. Sad but true. :(

If there’s something gross on the floor, I’m more likely to get down on hands and knees to clean it if I’m hammered.

I had a gallstone attack on a plane once. I didn’t hit the button because what’s a flight attendant gonna do about it? They helped anyway and it was appreciated.

If I need water to take a pill or just because I’m thirsty, I’m hitting the button. They have the water. Sorry if that’s tough on FAs, but thanks for the drink.

You got that my post was pro-Kaiser, right?

It is less convenient. I find the improved service with the hassle. Good luck!
