Maybe if you get 5.4 version. A modern 2012+ Raptor is still in the 45-55k range.
If your motor blew up at redline, it was going to go anyway. Italian tune ups are a real thing, and if you don’t redline a properly warmed up engine with some regularity, you’re not doing the car any favors.
Don’t bother, just get an SEL 202A MSRP without the panoramic roof is in the range of 36k, rebates and discounts put it 29-31k. You’ll get leather, memory seating, Sync 3, reverse cam and sensors, heated seats and mirrors, and more. 3-5k more for all that over an SE? No brainer.
They are priced reasonably, look at a 202A package SEL Flex and a 202A package XLT Explorer; with rebates it’s a $5k delta. Same platform, similar space, different look and price.
Actually, the Raptors were exceedingly affordable for what you get. the base 2014 Raptor was around 45k plus TTL, maxed out was like 55k.
The 70k F150 is for the E-Class, 5-Series, A6 buyer that wants a pickup. Image is a thing, and the Limited featured here is outrageous inside. Panoramic moon roof, Sound insulated windshield and front windows, massaging seats, heated and cooled seats up front, automatic wipers, lane keeping system, adaptive cruise…
You say that, but lest you forget Ford made a bespoke engine for one car: GT350's 5.2L FPC. Ford Performance is serious about making it’s brand known. Low production vehicles they make: RS, Raptor, GT350, GT. I see no reason that they would think twice about adding a real Bronco revival. Ranger for volume, Bronco to…
You know you can do the same thing at a dealership though. You just paid MSRP on an ordered car, that can be done very easily at almost any dealership.

Have you forgotten about Focus Hatch SE? Can be had with a 5spd manual and 160hp 2.0L
True. 3.0L si Z4s can be had for around 10k all day long. Or you can go bulletproof m54 equipped 2.5i and 5spd for sub 8k with sub 100k miles. I’m biased as I own a 2003 2.5i. It’s pretty fun, and a lot more roomy than the Miata or S2k. Only downside is the shifter isn’t nearly as perfect as the MX5/S2k.
The Raptor you see is the SuperCrew with 5.5' bed. Regular F150 SuperCrew can be had with the 5.5 or 6.5' bed. 90% of SCrews we sell are 5.5' bed.
My F150 goes about 700 miles with the 2.7L all highway.
Smart sales guy, you’re trained to use your tools to find out the answers. I’m a sales guy that has been with Ford for nearly 6 years, and I don’t know every option on every vehicle on the lot, so I use the sticker to verify options and features. You have to remember, you’re looking through one or two model lines, and…
Not entirely. Ford’s hybrid AWD/4WD system on F150 is unique to the Lariat and higher trims. XLT and below get 4WD only.
