“Jamaican songwriter Flourgon (real name: Michael May) has sued Cyrus for $300 million, alleging she ripped off his 1988 song “We Run Things,” according to a report by Reuters.”

White fragility makes racism perpetual

I would drink coffee but it tastes like ash steeped tea. I’ve recently learned about pour over coffee and that it’s supposed to taste better so I’ll give that a try.

Racism is prejudice + power. There is no systemic force that reinforces black supremacy or protects black people simply by virtue of being black, therefore racism doesn’t apply to black people.

“If black people could be racist, I would be. But we can’t, so I’m not.

Your avatar enhances this comment

“an emotionally repressed rich woman seizing the chance to dance maniacally like no one’s watching”

“You find it “fascinating,” but many see it as an opportunity to actually get disparate communities on the same page about drug fatalities”

I remember an instant in that meeting I mentioned. A white parent whose child overdosed said something to the effect of their kid not being “the kind of person you would expect this to happen to” and they pointedly made eye contact with me, the only black person in the room, as they said this.

This might be callous of me to admit but I can’t help but be fascinated when I hear all this ballyhoo about opioids and think how different the narrative was, just a few years prior, when the public believed it was only black people facing the business end of a national drug problem. I covered an opioid awareness

That feeling when the comments are infinitely more entertaining than the article

and boom goes the dynamite

and don’t forget the coloreds

I considered buying a copy of Mein Kampf from a local bookstore. Even knowing that it’s second hand and not a single cent would go toward whatever outfit seeking to profit from it, I got a literal sinking feeling as I picked it up and put it back on the shelf

I don’t have your patience, man

no

I don’t know about the chicken feet

Right? Gordon Ramsey would have called that nonsense.

Except it’s not historically accurate

The fact Danielle Belton and not Koa is the one addressing you makes me think we’re in for a month of fuckery
