Wow, love it! Totally getting the soundtrack! Not so sure about the game, though. Bastion was fantastic, Transistor was just okay for me (loved the art style, music, characters, pretty much everything but the gameplay). Very much on the fence with this one.

Yes, was about to post same thing! Personally looking forward to this one!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve looked into Nodame Cantabile before but haven’t found the anime. I’ll have to try the drama. I’ve looked into Chihayafuru also but wasn’t sure, but I’ll give it a watch. If that’s your 2nd fav series, what’s your 1st?

I’m relatively new to Anime. Since I’m a singer/pianist/composer/music teacher, I started with musically related anime: Sound Euphonium and Your Lie in April. Sound Euphonium sort of did remind me of high school music. Your Lie in April was moving beyond words and one of the best things I’ve ever watched. From

“Come on, we should go home. I’m full just from watching you...”

New game plus on Persona 5. It’s even better the second time through! Since you carry over your social stats, equipment and items, and money, you can just focus on relationships and not worry much about other things. I know I should be playing the many games in my backlog that I haven’t played, but I just can’t

Stupid sexy Flanders...

There were a lot of things I liked about Elite Dangerous. But the enemy leveling is BS. I could take out an enemy stronger than me, yet turn around and get my ass handed to me by a weaker enemy. My buddy picked up the game and had the same experience. We both gave up on it. But that was a year ago, maybe the game

Horizon Zero Dawn. I wasn’t liking it much last weekend and was having trouble getting into it. But, after spending a few more hours with it, I’m liking it more and more. Especially the Cauldron, that was some good dungeon diving there! Also, this week started in earnest a new game plus on Persona 4 Golden, so I

I own/owned all but two of the titles on this list, plus several others. As a budding musician, Loom was one of my favorites...you create spells using notes from the treble clef on the character’s magic staff. Labyrinth I was never able to finish...whenever I got to the walls outside the Goblin City, the game would

I cannot recommend it enough! I had no previous experience with the genre, wasn’t even sure if I would like it...120+ hours on my main farm later and still enjoying it! Have fun with it!

Been trying to get into Horizon Zero Dawn, and I just..can’t. The control scheme is wonky, the camera is a problem, NPCs get in my way or the camera’s way, and the game does a poor job explaining some of its own mechanics (thank goodness for the internet!). I’m going to give it another try tonight and see if I can

Finally finished Persona 5 last weekend! Despite my frustration with the last 10ish hours of the game, the ending was satisfying and made the slog worth the while. But before I jump into a new game plus, I’m going to fire up Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time. Also, now that summer is upon me, I’m going to work

Taking another stab at finishing Persona 5. I did make progress tonight, but had to give up again. I hate to say it, but the ending is ruining the game for me...while I mostly loved the first 85 hours, these last 7-8 hours have been painfuly grindy and tiresome. I don’t even care about battling or bosses at this

Yes, I agree that the skipping of parts was jarring, to say the least. I guess they figured anyone watching would have already watched the original P4 anime and would fill in the gaps on their own. I guess it just made me appreciate her character more than I did when I played the game.

I have set a challenge for myself: Play at least 1 hour of every unplayed game in my Steam backlog. (I have around 100 games with 0 hours logged). That way I can say that I’ve played every game on my Steam account! (Except my kids’ Sonic games...I hate those hedgehog games.)

Completely agree with you on all points. What I can’t decide is if I feel closer to the Investigation Team because that game did a better job of bringing the player closer to those characters, or if it’s because I have more “history” with them because of multiple playthroughs and watching the anime.

I came late to the party on the P4G Anime, and absolutely loved Marie’s story in the anime. I largely ignored Marie in both of my P4G playthroughs (Yukiko and Rise were my waifus!) but now I need to play again to see Marie’s in-game story. Wonder how similar the game and anime are.

Looking for something different to play this weekend. After last weekend I had to put Persona 5 on hold...when I realized that the last Palace wasn’t really the last Palace, I just didn’t have it in me to do any more. Hate to say it, but the main story has worn out its welcome on me (love everything else, though!)

I’m on the last leg of Persona 5, and what a run it has been! Until last night, I hadn’t been super thrilled with the over-arching main story, but it finally hit its crescendo and took off last night. But everything else in this game—the cast of characters, the sub-plots, the aesthetics, the turn-based combat—is
