Scott, same here. The extended versions of LotR are richer, and bring in more side material that to me makes them a better watch. I watch the whole 11 hours every couple of years. (The long camping expedition of Frodo and Samwise are tedious both in the books and in the films, but at least feel shorter in the movies.)
