You wrote just what I was thinking. I’m surprised by a few things...

It’s been over 23 years and it’s still too soon for a joke like that :(

Here’s a crazy thought: you do the dishes. I bet she’ll let you.

“Lancia still exists!”

Worst steering wheel ever.

eh... if you follow the gps so blindly you just drive into burning neighbourhoods.... you kinda have it coming.... like those people that turn left here and drive straight into a ditch....

The grand scheme of whose things? You? I guess. The rabbit’s? In the rabbit’s grand scheme of things, this dude is a fucking hero.

Counterpoint: Everything you think you know about heroism is wrong.

whole lot of nope on this. bent valves likely mean other damage is waiting in the wings. at a minimum a complete top end disassembly (down to the crank case), probably head replacement, if you can find a used one in good shape, then after a couple thousand in cosmetic and other general maintenance work, at the end of

Looks good, clearly someone takes care of their baby. Not a huge fan of some of the mods, but nothing here is a deal-breaker. $14K maybe is a bit high, I’d at least try haggling it a little.

I hear you, and you’ve nailed the main Lotus sales problem this decade, but I’m the outlier who’d rather have an Evora than a Cayman. More than fast enough for me, much better looking IMO. There’s something to be said for a car that puts smiles on stranger’s faces when you pull into a car show. Some of the Elise

I like to think Lotus exists to provide an alternative to Porsche; not neccessarily a better car (Porsche makes great cars, duh), but a different one. A car for drivers, for people who don’t mind that the average Joe may not know who makes their car or be impressed by its specs (“It has a four banger??”). I can’t

“luxury sports car segment”??

Heretic! We love any and all things Porsche on Jalopink. No exceptions. Now where’s my latte?

I gotta be honest here. I’m actually pretty impressed that this thing looks as good as it does. This clearly wasn’t built by some idiot that just learned how to lay fibreglass at his mom’s arts and crafts workshop.

People who are manual enthusiasts and people who buy brand new cars are often mutually exclusive.

My local C&C (West Chester, moved to Edgemont, now in Malvern), has a really great variety of cars. Everything from exotics to things like a 300hp Fiero with a Buick engine, a pristine GLHS, a beater Festiva set up for autocross, and the occasional Youtube celebrity.

My wife and I got engaged 11 years ago on a trip (long romantic weekend). Once I proposed and she said yes we called everyone. The first question most asked was “what was the ring like”. We had to take a picture with her circa 2004 flip phones camera (where you are lucky to see the fingers let alone the ring) and text

“Guys should treat women better!”
