This car certainly looks to be in good shape, and a similar condition 944 might bring that kind of money, or at least close to it—in stock condition. The mods, though reversible, don’t add to the price they detract a bit. I can’t quite nice price this.

I somehow responded to the wrong post, was responding to the one below here, which in essence said, this is the type of project you choose to do rather than spending your evenings rewatching Gilmour Girls re-runs with your wife.

Jesus man, you just summed up my entire existence in two succinct, insightful sentences (I responded same above, meant to be here)

Damn, this thing brings “niche” to a whole nother level. If it were a real vintage dragster maybe somebody wants it for nostalgia or a static collection.  But "cackling"?  Ok.  I am out, good luck selling it when the thrill of listening wears off.

I am just old enough to not be able to afford an E-type when I was young and watch the price rise faster than my disposable income as the old boomers drove it up, I kind of hope more people start feeling the same way as you about the styling and maybe prices will come down to earth before too long.

I started reading the article and saw $13,500, my thought was this Mercedes would be appealing at about half that price.  The realized the $13,500 was yesterday's car.  At $5,900 seems like a reasonable deal.  Wouldn't buy a 300,000+ car myself though, unless something old and simple.

Man Brownell, I have defended you (on occasion) from the slings and arrows of the great unwashed commentariat, and then you had to say the thing about the E-type coupe.

I kind of like the white out look and I generally don’t like white cars. I would get rid of the big hood scoop and and the boy racer gear knob.  More worried about what all the mods are.  Anyway, don't hate the look, still wouldn't buy the car, especially at $13,500.

Still a desirable car,  but the price is high.  I have never been too impressed with cars that come with a huge stack of repair and maintenance stuff.  My take on it isn't "hey that is great, everything is in good shape" it is, "this vehicle is consistently expensive to maintain over time".  At closer to $10k I would

Wow, that is a beautiful truck.  Made before the awkward unnecessary height thing took over the truck world.  Condition looks excellent.  If it weren't halfway across the country from me would be ringing up the seller.  Easy nice price today.

I kind of thought maybe he had mellowed a bit the last couple years, but it was easy to be Mellow Max when he was the fastest guy in the fastest car...

There was a time when Schumacher was probably as disliked as Max is now. When Senna raced it was a little different, at least here in the states, early in his career there might be one taped delayed F1 race a year, so you really didn’t get to “know” F1 drivers like you do now. Mostly from after the fact press reports.

And a lot of people and press said the same back in the day when they were racing. I think you have to have more than a bit of a “me first at all costs” attitude and be supremely talented to win at the highest level of most anything, but the three mentioned all had their moments where many thought they crossed a line.

Sorry, vas vintage wagons go this one looks about as dull as they get, also don't think gold color looks good on any car.  Personal preferences aside, looks like a real cheap slap it on paint job over a body with some issues.  I like old sixties wagons, but can't get up to the asking price on this.  Maybe at closer to

The TR7 feels altogether more modern and different than the old British sports cars it replaced, but the early ones missed the part about being reliable like a modern car. By all reports that was pretty well sorted out when the TR8s were made, but the damage to the reputation was done, and, though a pretty great car

I don't know if it is as much of a thing these days, I haven't seen one for sale on FBM or CL locally for a long time.  Maybe the driving around to the back of restaurants and begged for used up cooking oil life gets old after a while.

Damn Brownell, there is a regular dude in there.  While it wouldn't be a good idea to do it all the time, when travelling I give in to my baser instincts and go full junk food diet.  My terrible taste for what I call good bad food, and the inventory at most any convenience store, pair up extraordinarily well.
