I like it, if you break it down into price per passenger vs 2 seat and 4 seat options the deal seems better. Hop in my Chrysler (product) its as big as a whale and about to set sail. Nice Price

I look on Google maps and see an open gas station I can access, I guess I am an idiot for not assuming (around here everything is within a dime of each other) gas costs the same there as everywhere else. If I have been there before I am an idiot, I bet the guy doesn’t do much business from repeat customers.
This seems like a good deal to me, anybody that buys a German car this old had better have a good mechanic or so the work themselves. The preventative stuff on the cooling system (if not done) is not that expensive to do yourself.
I am a car guy and I know people but nobody asks me to sell their car for them, they do ask me to go look at cars with them sometimes. I believe you it happens, but just seems weird how often, and kind of frustrating contacting people and them saying they know nothing about the vehicle, call so and so.
I don't think anybody is collecting these, especially ones with over 150,000 miles. I see a $6500 used SUV that stands out as being one of the nicer vehicles in a low rent part of town third hand models used car dealership. No dice.
This is a cool car in nice shape. When I first saw the picture I thought easy nice price. A closer look at the car and description makes the choice a little harder.
Although I still might look at the car, there seems to be a tendency to take small little bits of the car and have no overall shots of the vehicle, I don’t know if the are trying to be artsy or hide something. Also when they shoot in the worst possible light, like under a gas station light at night.
Didn't know they made a Topaz/Tempo with all wheel drive, most of these cars have so little power that the all wheel drive isn't worth the weight penalty unless you live in places that have snow on the roads a good part of the year.
I consider myself a bit of a car person, but I don't know if I could tell an E21 from an E30 from side by side pictures. But I do know with an E30 I could get a bigger more powerful six and a five speed, neither of which this car has. So with the same aesthetic vibe, less performance and higher price why would you…
Looks like a very nice car, for this kind of money you can get a 2002tii, or, if that isn’t your thing, you can get a nice E30 with a bigger six and more power and pretty much the same vibe all around otherwise, plus change in your pocket from either purchase.
In addition to all the other issues, gotta have crazy rear end bias for weight distribution
Wow, congrats Bradley, a cool car with very reasonable miles for a little over $10k. Didn't think that could be done anymore. Look forward to periodic updates. P.S. haters gonna hate
I am no expert, but I think dealers check your driver’s license to make sure you are legally authorized to drive, not check your driving record. I am sure the usual shotgun approach to litigation, unless laws are different where this occured, that part shouldn’t stick.
I don’t necessarily disagree with the license restrictions, but at 100 a ton, well most new cars exceed that by a comfortable margin, a new Corolla, at 3100 pounds and 169 horsepower exceeds the 100 per ton figure.
This is the small but still out there sweet spot of used car purchases. Old enough to scare off a lot of non-car people, well cared for, reasonable miles on a reliable drivetrain. It will feel nicer and probably last longer than the 10 year old Kia you buy for the same or more money.
I don’t get it, I have talked to them personally and seen them on forums, all the folks who want “a car that drives for them”. Not really what we have is it, with tragic results as shown here.
The C4, especially the early ones, may not hold up so well against later 'vettes, but it was so much better than the last 10 years or so of the C3 that came before it, and generally well received when it came out.
Using Cruise Control is fine, but if you end up with your cruise set at 69.5 MPH going next to somebody else with their cruise set at 69.5 MPH for miles and miles have the presence of mind to notice it and speed up or slow down a bit (it only takes a bump to the control, I think many people don't understand that…
In traffic on multi lane roads plan ahead for your turn. fI you find yourself in the wrong lane to turn, just keep going and turn at the next intersection or onramp. Don’t turn from the wrong lane, don’t dangerously cut across lanes to get there, and for God’s sake don’t stop in the middle of the non-turning lane…
Another close one, I nice priced it, while there may be better choices for a decent looking, running sub $3k car these days, there sure aren’t many choices, so if you are shopping cheap with a sense of adventure this one may be for you.
