That is really nice--this and rats driving cars, you guys are upping your game.

I test drove both before picking an IS (which I still have) several years ago. The BMW may have better numbers, and I will fully admit the amount of speed to fuel consumption ratio is truly abysmal, but the IS has sharper reflexes, super comfortable seats, best AC and heat I have ever experienced (both important here…
When I read the headline I was expecting something truly awful, then I saw the pictures...it isn’t really awful, it is kind of cool. That said I think you buy this as a business proposition, and I don’t know enough about the limo business to say if this is a good one, so I am going to do a rare thing on the internet…
Do It!
If it wasn't far away I would taking the morning off and driving out to take a look. Shut up and take my money. Easiest nice price in a long time.
If this thing runs and drives well nice price. There are a lot of crappy inop or barely operative ones with cosmetic needs out there for less, but everything I have read 928 parts aren't cheap (which is why broken 928s are). Nice price subject to a good inspection and test drive. Would love to drive one of these…
That is where I am at too. Buying this thing at 10k would probably not be a terrible decision, but I can’t wrap my head around 10k for, as you stated "a 17 year old base model transportation appliance" on the north side of 150K I will add.
Fun for the masses, the first generation Nissan Sentra SE-R. Up until that time 16 valve found cylinder engines made power at the high end. The Sentra made torque down low and pulled well all the way up to its 7500 (!!) rpm redline.
And you could get a 4 door manual one too. Not saying the 4 door was better than the coupe, but I think it was just fantastic that you could get a lightweight, just big enough for four manual sports sedan back then at a pretty reasonable price. I almost bought one to replace my first generation Sentra SE-R.
If it checks out in person, starts, runs, steers, stops, with no undue smells and noises and the majority of the electricals work, yeah, why not?
As others have stated, a boomer Corvette is stock, probably driven more like a cruiser than a sports car, low miles, and one of only fifty two made that year in firemist red with automatic transmission and sunroof delete or whatever. Maybe boo era were into modifying cars when they were teenagers, go to any Corvette…
I always thought these were kind of cool, both in concept and execution. However, this one is not cool enough to overcome my over ten years over one hundred thousand miles should be under $10 grand rule. No Dice
I have a 2002 Lexus IS 300, I love its rock solid reliability after 22 years, and bought it because I wanted a reasonably agile rear wheel drive sedan that wasn’t too big. But one odd little thing I love about the car is the heater. I don’t like being cold and the winters here can be brutal. The heater is the best I…
Yes, when you talk about C3s I think you almost have to break them up into two generations. The chrome bumper cars that still made horsepower and the plastic ended emissions strangled ones. Just to mess with us I think they phased out the chrome bumper and there is a transition year where one end is chrome and the…
I am curious from a legal standpoint about the wording here. Is it an “order”, a legally enforceable notification, or more of a very serious warning. I own a relatively new Subaru, I don’t think Subaru could order me to stop driving it, but they could certainly tell my in very strong words driving it wouldn't be a…
I didn’t really think of my dad as a car guy, but he had a few interesting vehicles. We mostly had fairly anonymous American cars as family vehicles, but somewhere in the early to mid sixties we became a two car family. Our first second car was a Renault Dauphine (I am guessing Dad bought it because it was cheap.) I…
Thanks for not disappointing
There was an RE-5 project not far from me on Facebook for $1000. I was ready willing and able to buy but the seller never answered any of my messages.
A good Honda CBX will cost you well over ten grand, a really nice Honda 400 Super Sport around 5 grand or so, maybe a little more for a Kawasaki H2. Welcome to the world of classic bikes. I would gladly pay this much for a unique motorcycle that doesn’t look like bug arching it’s back (i.e. most any modern sportbike).…
Maybe if it were pristine and had 100,000 fewer miles. I know vehicles can go well over 100,000 or 200,000 these days, but still doesn’t mean people want to pay the "rare and collectible" price for cars with that much wear and tear.
