Yeah, pretty amazing that even on into the ‘90s people paid extra to buy cars with very big and bold graphic and lettering packages like this, and manufactures vied to have their cars selected for same...and people daily drove them with pride. Different times.

I have a low mile Lexus IS 300 for daily duty. It is still a very nice sports sedan, with neutral RWD handling and all the creature comforts I need. For fun I have a modified Triumph TR250 that sees both autocross and nice Sunday drive duty. I am content.  I was going to add pretty pictures but can't get the image

Sure it is, you know, for all those kids that grew up wanting a Daihatsu wagon, but couldn’t quite afford one.

Put stock wheels (and hubcaps?) if you can find them, and lower the price to $6k and we can talk.  As is no dice.  I like the JDM mirrors, much as some complain about this placement it works really well, broader field of view and more in you regular line of sight when driving.

I was not aware of that, but still I see it all the time on forums like this, when someone says we need a true small truck, someone inevitably will say, you can’t build a small truck anymore, it won’t meet modern crash standards, it has to be big and heavy. To which I always answer, Miata, if a car can do it, why not

I need a three row 6000 pound SUV because I have a kid and a dog.

Not sure what you are saying but on my old BMW 2002 one of the positions on the ignition switch was "Fahrt" heh...heh...heh heh

Waze is cartoon irritating crap, can't believe it is even in the conversation for best.

I am not defending the chief, he shouldn’t have been there, but if somebody touched me on the arm at work (from the footage it sure seemed more like a pretty innocuous touch than an assault, and yeah I know the legal distinction is a little different) and a threw them on the hood of a car I think I would get in

Like your choice, but I would add the Nissan NX2000 too.  It had the 140HP 16 valve (was still kind of a new exciting thing then) Nissan SE-R engine, and the torsen limited slip differential too.  No Whiz bang v-6, and the MX was probably better looking, but the NX had better specs.

Looking on BaT I am seeing recent sales of much nicer cars in the mid fifties to low 60s. This one is a little scruffy for the price. I love sixties cars, I love Italian cars, but I have always thought the Fiat Dino coupe looks a little off in its proportions. But personal feelings aside, a Craigslist ad for above

Never watch a video when there should be an article, that is the car I would buy.

I drive by about one major crash a week that occured at a low speed traffic light controlled intersection on my short commute to and from work. About the only we these could occur is if someone blows through a red light, oblivious to all oncoming traffic.

So we have CAFE fuel economy standards and we have EV tax credits, then we have the section 179 deduction that basically lets any business deduct over nearly $30,000 in the first year of ownership of any vehicle over 6,000 pounds gross vehicle weight. So you can buy a big heavy luxury SUV to drive your ass to work at

Lots of benefits I agree with, but downside is lots of inexperienced kids getting killed on bikes by all by themselves or by others.

I think I test drove one, I know I looked at one on a lot, long time ago, don’t think it was a turbo, if I drove it obviously didn’t leave a huge impression, but a real long time ago.  Believe it was a Chevette platform basically, so POS description may have some merit.

You know what is better than a Scirocco?, a rear wheel drive Scirocco.

Just to make it worse, sure I would buy one, 10 years old on the used market to carry loads and run the dog around for the weekend.  If manufacturers built cars for me I would be happy, but they would go broke.

Same here, only rational reason to buy an Aerostar is that it runs, costs less than $2000 dollars, and you have given up on life...

Serious question, are you saying car crazies should hop on this unicorn, or anybody is crazy to spend that much money on an old beat up French car?
