This may be the stupidest article I have ever read on Jalopnik, something I don’t say lightly. It is quite possible to say “she’s beautiful” about a car, or a boat or whatever without wanting to have a sexual relationship with her, it, whatever, it doesn’t matter.

The only thing I have gotten out of dealer chatbots, no matter what question I ask, is for it to respond by asking for my contact information so that somebody (presumably a human salesperson) can get back to me. I must not be playing the game right.

Looking at the current poll, you could call the blue portion a pretty thin slice of nice price, or a pretty fat slice of crazy.

I have grown to kind of like the weird one of fiberglass kit and limited production cars they built in the 50s and 60s. However, by the time this thing was built the idea of improving on factory looks etc. with a fiberglass body had pretty well played out. This thing has no appeal to me, a replica of something that

Yeah, I remember, the FWD non-turbo spec of this car probably saved it from being modified and beat on.

The Diamond Star trio first generation cars were everywhere back in the day.  You would think a few more would have survived but they just didn't.  Anyway, these are rare, and this one is in very nice shape, but I can't quite see getting to the asking price without the Turbo.  No Dice.

Agree 100%. With no new technology or infrastructure we could reduce consumption and emissions by huge amounts by getting people in more reasonable sized cars.

I am going to nice price it, I am a sucker for stock, well preserved cars, and so is the market generally speaking.  That said I would rather have a really nice MR2 Spyder for less money, similar power on a lighter and more nimble chassis.

People are idiots, what the hell is cactus candy?

I am old enough to enjoy masterpiece Theater and Poldark (at least the first couple seasons), but I hope I die before I become old enough to covet this nursing home on wheels.

I saw them driving a round my neighborhood back in the day 4 up.  However, these cars are so tall and ungainly I had no way of telling if it the rear passengers actually had legs.

I have a strong hate for these things, some people may call it irrational, but they are just so big and ugly, a convertible should say “fun” and this says, put me to bed before 7:30.

I was on the fence about this one. Yes it is an old, complicated German luxury car with appreciable miles, but it is also a V-8 AWD wagon in good shape with good maintenance records.

Contrary to what Jalopnik says, 90s cars are better than our current options, I am all in, Nice Price. These guys (dealer) are within the craigslist local search, and they have some cool old cars from time to time. They don’t give them away though.

NO, I will expand on that a little, I think this belongs in that special category, it is not priced too high, it is not a thing that you should buy.  No dice at any price.

Yesterday poll is neck and neck, last chance to vote and change history, Rob’s early call on the election is fake news. #Save the Paseo

I was back and forth on this one, the price looked ok-ish for a well maintained, cosmetically clean Z3 2.8. Then I read the miles, and thought No Dice. Then I looked at the ad.

Trunk spot welds seems to mostly be an issue on the later M cars and maybe the early Ms and 3.0s, I don't think the 2.8 stresses them too much, but who knows over time?

Somewhere in the early 90s Toyota came out with the Paseo, Mazda the MX3, and Nissan the little NX. All tiny little coupes that would be laughed out of modern showrooms. The Mazda and Nissan were the most interesting to enthusiasts as the Mazda could be had with a tiny V-6 and the NX could be had with the 2.0 16 valve

The joy of driving a manual car is dulled quite a bit by a FWD platform, for me anyway. Between the miles and the price I can’t quite get there with this wagon, but it is an enticing package.
