I think you are likely in the top 30% of earners to be able to afford a new EV
I never bought one of these, but drove one or two with good intentions back in the day. The were kinda fun little runabouts, a little bad in the NVH category compared to a contemporary Honda or Toyota (or most anything else) by by all accounts a pretty reliable and cheap car to run. I am also biased towards cars that…
Sorry, modified, 190,000 miles, in primer, no interior pics, and bad ball joints. No Dice, I am out.
Though there aren’t any photos of the nether regions, it looks pretty rust free. The interior looks like it just needs a good clean, which is the real appeal, and it is an interesting, rare car that is significant in that it was the pre-cursor, or an early ground troup if you will, in the Japanese invasion of the…
At one time it was the idea of a deal. Some neglected old rare and interesting car that you could pick up cheap because the owner had sort of forgotten about, finding a buried treasure.
Gracefully done
I remember hearing them for the first time in the early 80s, “Sitting Still” was everything a kid who had faint memories of early Beatles growing up and missed good guitar rhythm and harmonies music could ever want in a song. I was smitten. Others that didn’t make the list Pretty Persuasion, Letter Never Sent, Chronic…
Whenever somebody makes this remark about a fairly recent (last couple decades) older orphan mainstream model like a Saab or Saturn or the like I just chuckle.
We see so many car like this, where seller is asking a premium price for what is somewhere in the gray zone between collector and used car, and they almost always have issues, high miles, A/C just needs a recharge, cosmetic stuff, seller wants premium price but can’t be bothered to fix little things, clean the car,…
The Allante because it does nothing for me, though it is your car, so take that for what it is worth. The Boxster because too much work and you are a busy man and will never get to it. Quite frankly the rest got cooler and cooler as it went on, and you should keep them all. If you are still short of time and space…
What the car could be after dropping $60k into it to get the value to $40K (giving the seller the benefit of getting price right for the nice ones).
I submitted it because unusual, but yes, boring generic looking, I don’t think these things have a following over here like a Nissan Skyline for example, and it appears complete, but needs paint, needs interior, needs who knows what for mechanicals. Maybe of interest as a sub 5K project car.
Meh on most all of these except maybe the Ioniq 6. I remember when Fiatas were sitting on the lots for $1000s of list. I should have pounced. The used ones with low miles are selling for more than they sold new a few years ago.
The 996 may be the least expensive 911, but from what I have seen all 911s are expensive, no cheap bargains out there anymore. This one seems to be in good shape with service history, and the price seems perfectly reasonable. Nice Price
The aqua colored flames(?) are not really doing it for me. But considering what you can get for $6000 these days, the miles, and interior space, and manual transmission make this look like a good deal as a practical commuter, funky fun car, or transport for your side gig of floral delivery or whatever. Easy nice…
I have not seen one of these in this good of condition since they were lightly used cars. We had a Subaru dealer in our relatively small town back then and they sold in reasonably good numbers. The Japanese took a lot of their early engineering and manufacturing techniques from the British, including rust protection,…
That is hilarious, we have a 2022 Crosstrek, I generally like it, but the stop start feature, I always say it bucks and makes noises like an old tractor every time you it starts. At least the older car only does that once a trip (hopefully)
I did it once, in January, no access to the driver’s side bolts without removing the bed and the tank as I recall. I ran a wire through the holes and pulled bolts through from the backside, it was fun!
Seems like a lot for a 25 year old Ranger, I bought a rougher but running and driving one for $950 a few years back (4 cylinder, manual everything). But I suppose it is just barely under the wire it nice price. These things are great for people who want the utility of a truck, but don't want to feel like they are…
