My wife had one of these in lease when I met her. They are not really as sporty as the looks suggest. The engine is adequate, but not particularly torquey or peaky, handling once again ok, but not stellar.

I don't know, but there was a local guy that had one with a Ford V8 stuck in it.  Believe some cutting was required.  He autocrossed it (for fun more than wins).  We called it the Frite.  A rotary conversion is popular too, you can get a lot more power and doesn't disturb weight distribution too much.

Steer into the skid, works everytime.

Yes, they looked good, had the pace, and LeClerk appears to have the skill and the stones to hold off Verstappen.  But not by all that much, still early in the year, a lot to shake out.  Mercedes is off pace, but the car looks like they really rolled the dice with a really different design, maybe they tweak it some

Nebraska too, except we also have folks that roll right up to a 4 way, cars backed up in every lane, and think it is their turn to go next, either because assholes or they have somebody to the right of them.  Thing is at a 4 way stop with cars in all lanes, everybody has a car to the right of them, and is also to the

Agree 100%, while there seems to be a learning curve for roundabouts, four way stops are just a cluster, particularly at crowded intersections. About a third of the people think it is never their turn, a third drive up, roll to a slightly slower speed, and then proceed on through even if three other cars were already

You will pay this or more for an equivalent Cobra kit. This is a Cobra, already a performance car turned up to 11, dialed up a couple notches. Also a step closer to the original as both are fiberglass, vs. aluminum original and mostly fiberglass (except the really spendy ones) vs. aluminum on the originals. If course

Too late--see other comments

This is great Jalop—and look at all those regular cars pulling trailers—cue in the comments that you would be crazy to try to pull anything bigger than an 800 pound sailboat without a 2.5 ton dually truck.

If it really runs and drives well and doesn't sound like a bucket of bolts I will give it a tentative nice price.  I would see if he would swap beck to the silver rims if I gave full ask.  Or would see if I could buy it at a discount as it sits.

That scooter is very cool, and looks to be in good shape, if it were closer...

I think the Corvette was body on frame, so easier to modify than a unibody car, may be part of the reason.

Never has the original C3 styling looked so good to me.   These neoclassics, just look cheap and tacky to me.  No. Dice.

I think the issue here relates more to ignoring the closing gate and and the bridge going up than the trailer.

Plenty of people in their right mind would buy either one. If cargo space and MPG we’re the only consideration in driving a vehicle we would all drive Transit vans. Some people have street parking and shorter vehicle wins, some people like to drive and better handling, lower vehicle wins. Some people need to haul

I’d still rather it be a 2 ton vehicle with collision avoidance (rather than 4.5).  You can compare it to an old Accord, I will compare it to a new, smaller vehicle.

Exactly I call it the vehicle size nuclear arms race, with every generation bigger than the last so that people can feel safe and have a "commanding view of the road".  People making things as perceived better for themselves are making it actual worse for everybody.

I don’t really consider myself an environmentalist, but I am a conservative in tbe old fashioned sense that I don’t like to see resources wasted. If Excursion size and capability is really what you need on a regular basis, ok, good for you, but most people really don’t.

I remember these cars, and always thought it was a nice looking design. Combine that with RWD, and Toyota reliability and you have a pretty desirable package.

So you made me scroll back up to the title of the article, nowhere do I read, "that no one has ever heard of" or words to that effect.
