Dude. Pokemon has “always” been directed to younger children. When they mean core, they mean gameplay similar to main titles and not Pokemon Go.
Dude, you’re reaching.

If you’re disappointed, stop playing. The game is no longer for you. Move on and find something else and stop trying to force it into your life.
Less value for whom? It’s not objectively less value for those of us who wanted higher difficulty, QoL updates in competitive breeding, and a better rotation format experience. You can say you don't like it, but value goes beyond the number of Pokemon.
people pooping their pants over the pokedex are some of the biggest goofs on the planet.
Man, people really want to shit on this game. I, for one, am a 34 year old man who can’t wait to play this and go on a new adventure with new pokemon to catch and doesn’t give a single shit whether I can use the same team I’ve been using since 1998.

You can thank the pedestrian protection standards for this and many badly styled new car front ends.
Plenty of drivers, if not a majority of them, don’t pay attention to their surroundings and are far more responsible for pedestrian deaths. If you can’t be attentive enough below 25mph to avoid most pedestrians, you shouldn’t be driving.
i cant tell when reading your comment if you are sincere in your dismissal of pedestrian safety or if youre being sarcastic and saying that its the pedestrians’ problem that ped/cyclists deaths have skyrocketed since SUV/CUV boom became a thing?
Yep, because it’s never the driver’s fault!
That’s a profoundly silly thing to say, especially because it’s hard to protect yourself against a car that’s barreling toward a crosswalk where you have the right of way. Let’s not forget that a significant amount of pedestrian vs car accidents are caused by the car...not the pedestrian.
Comments so far are 100% as expected.
I’ve never seen the appeal of the Witcher. I just don’t get what’s so cool about it. I’ve played for about an hour and a half. Any mega-fan here that can sell me on this? What am I missing out on?
I’ve been on this site for quite a while and I’ve found her articles to be well-reasoned and thought-provoking. I’m sorry you think that writing about games has to end at “shooting fun. bigger numbers good. microtransactions bad. five bags of popcorn.”
You don’t think that blinding drivers who are coming at you at the same speed you’re driving is a possible issue?
No, actually. My job is to tell you what I think but also what I feel. Objectivity is a myth.
Never underestimate the power of capitalism to fuck up something that’s good for the people.
Also all of the Shinkansen trains in Japan were very high profile and have been very successful. China has a lot as well. The Chunnel has been very successful. Europe has a ton of high speed trains that get used all the time by a lot of people. I’ve been on one in Germany and it wasn’t very expensive, was comfortable,…
Because if we do it right, it’s cheaper than air travel. More efficient. Less cars on the road. Less congestion. Etc etc etc etc etc.
And that’s a shame too, because if you’ve never driven VW’s big attempt at going full luxury you’ve missed out on something special in life, something that the whole world suffers for not having been able to keep alive longer than it did.
