You cannot call a game “objectively a masterpiece.” It will always be subjective.

First, figure out how to reconnect with reality and discover that playing the terfy wizard world game isn’t the be-all-end-all indicator (or an indicator, period) of whether or not someone supports trans rights.

How does one objectively measure the quality of a videogame?

oh poor wittle baby being reminded that us gross transes exist

I find the shift to being a straight-up action game really unappealing, combined with yet another video game scowly-faced guy protagonist just makes me totally unlikely to pick this up, ever.

i would take Aloy over literally any guy protagonist in a video game

get over yourself

It does make you an excuser of transphobia and a piece of shit.

i actually enjoy playing games without nutcases insinuating that i’m a child molester just for existing so please spare me this “censorship” stuff

Besides Creative Mode, they’ve recently added a lot of granular difficulty & accessibility stuff that controls all sorts of things about the survival mechanics.

way too many angry boys and way too few lesbians

It is good when people call out anti-LGBTQ bigotry, whether that means calling out people who play the TERF antisemitism game, or calling out idiots review-bombing a game/show for daring to acknowledge the existence of queer people.

FYI: trans woman. A woman who is trans. Two words. Not “transwoman.”

This is the case with some of the games on Apple Arcade as well. Since Arcade games are not allowed to do microtransactions, these companies will port over microtransaction-heavy mobile games and strip the monetization out, but not rebalance anything else, so you still have weird timers, multiple “currencies,” etc.

game credits are massively bloated nowadays

Credits are about respecting work. They aren’t “out of hand” if they’re listing everybody who worked on something, as they should.

Fashion Dreamer looks cute and probably better than Zelda because it lets you be a girl

That’s not what “no ethical consumption under capitalism” means.

Here is a news flash for people, Rowling is going to be flush with cash from the residuals from her books and the movies the rest of her life, not buying a game isn’t going to hurt her in the slightest.

Good!
