“Facebook and Twitter are hugely in favor of Democrats.”
“Facebook and Twitter are hugely in favor of Democrats.”
That seems like a really weird comparison - BioWare hasn’t put out anything nearly as janky and weird as FO76. Anthem has some issues but it’s a very fun, very solid thing at its core.
I drove the speed limit on major Texas city Interstates for years and years and literally never had a problem.
“Andromeda was a big red flag”
I’ll never want to play The Witcher because I don’t want to be Geralt, so Odyssey was a huge win for me in my book until the gross stuff they did in this DLC.
I mean...one’s a free-to-play Battle Royale PvP first-person shooter and one’s a heavily story-based full-price third-person co-op PvE action game. I don’t see a lot of overlap here, to be honest. I downloaded Apex Legends and am having a fun time of it, but I’m also not going to be using it as substitute for Anthem.
“Eh...just get over that they don’t want to make their game as political as you want them to.”
It’s being made by the core BioWare team, many of whom worked on the Mass Effect series. It’s as much a “real BioWare game” as anything. It may not be the BioWare game *you* want, but that doesn’t change that it’s a BioWare game.
That’s wildly unfair. I know everybody hates EA but BioWare has clearly put a *lot* of thought into this game. They’re human beings with talent, not idiot automatons.
Maybe it’s because I’m a straight, white male, but I don’t entirely see the problem with this.
I would love to never ever hear another word about KC:Deliverance. Gross.
Meanwhile I put 100+ hours into both Odyssey and MEA. *shrugs*
Politics are intertwined with a lot of things in games, even if the games aren’t “out to make a political statement” (which in some cases can itself be a political statement). I’d rather there just be better writing about games and politics rather than just say “don’t mix games and politics” which tends to be the…
Are you a real person
This attitude (dismissing labor concerns as “bitching and moaning” about crunch because who cares brah I got a siiiiick game out of it!) is one of the many, many things that’s wrong with “gamer culture” today.
Yeah, this “we didn’t have any bad intentions” thing really rings hollow. They *keep doing it* and this tweet in particular even had a “oooh look how edgy I am” thing toward the end. The person/people involved knew *exactly* what they were writing.
As long as I have played games, I absolutely do not understand gaming webcomics.
Remind me where CDPR and BioWare took a ton of crowdfunding for C2077 and Anthem?
It reminds me of a very high budget total conversion mod trailer, in that way. Like, some group of people makes a mod that moves the Fallout 4 engine to Tallahassee, or whatever, and the trailers for that sort of thing are always like this - a series of random clips edited with some loose voiceover that looks and sound…
