I stopped play Pokemon Go because it doesn’t work very well. I got tired of being told I was “going too fast” and getting kicked out of a gym fight when I wasn’t moving anywhere at all.

You can play Super Mario 3 on other devices and emulators and it sucks doing that.

I take public transit ALL the time too and I do see adults with DSes. But I guess only your personal life experience is real.
