Two words: Moon Base.
Two words: Moon Base.
I have a 6-speed in my Miata and I hate the down and right location of reverse. Even though I’m sure it has a lock-out (never thought to check.), I always have this little voice in my head each time I go for sixth “I hope you’re not in reveeerrrrrse...!!”
Edit: Checked. There is no reverse lock-out. That did nothing to…
I couldn’t agree more with your assessment of most people simply wanting reinforcement of their car buying decision versus actually wanting advice. It happened to me twice in the past two weeks.
That was a Rio taxi (yellow with a blue stripe). That may likely explain some of the bus driver’s rage.
As someone who frequents the streets of Toronto (and drove down that back straight a week ago) that ain’t nuthin’! Try running a race up Jarvis Street or along the Gardiner Expressway. It's definitely taken its toll on my Miata.
This is reckless journalism at its worst. And a poor decision to score some clickbait points. Let the authorities conduct their investigation to determine what actually happened rather than postulating callous speculation in lieu of facts.
Alec Baldwin and Robert Klein were my two favourites. Klein’s “Opera Pimp” line has been replayed countless times.
Honourable mention to Joel Hodgson for the Heinz ketchup bit.

Hmm...pretty low production quality for a Guy Ritchie movie.
When they put the cover over it, I made me think of when they put a blanket over a fallen racehorse before shooting it.
I saw that last week on Canadian AutoTrader. For work reasons I need a GM car as a daily driver. This would be all the car - GM or otherwise - I’d ever need. But then I saw how cheap C5 Corvettes are...
In an ordinary world, abandoning an ill woman at the side of the road would destroy that man’s livelihood. This is not an ordinary world.
In my experience, slow car fast has generally been more fun. I think the determining factor is the transmission. I recall driving the nuts off a manual Toyota Paseo years ago just as fondly as the Z51 Stingray I drove last year. I couldn’t tell you which was more fun in the real world, but in my memory at least it was…
If there was ever a gif that could use a “LEEEROY JENNNKINS!!” caption, this is it.
