Canada gets screwed on lease deals on EVs. I recall a couple of years ago seeing a $75/mth for a 24 month lease offer on a Smart EV in the U.S. and hoping for a comparable deal in Canada I priced one out - no easy feat as I had to actually talk to MB Financial to figure it out. It came in around $550/mth. When I asked

Inspired choice. And there’s the pleasant bonus of the the inevitable rental car comparos you’ll be forced to make this year.

Knew it was a turbo Cobalt right away. The round cut-out in the cowl was where the dealer left the filler cap the last time I let someone else change my oil. Mobil1 all over the engine bay!

Elon is now one step closer to becoming Hugo Drax.

I wouldn’t buy any car I’d rented...

What’s his problem? They were just adding speed holes to make the car go faster.

“Former Executive Car/Company Car/Manufacturer” is almost as bad as “Former Daily Rental”. I know plenty of automotive “Executives” and I would not buy a car from any of those delinquents.

Crap colour shifting on that blue. Almost believable.

The scrapping of the Arrow program was an absolute farce and one of the best examples of lack of foresight in Canadian history. The Arrow would have but Avro right up there with avery other heavy-hitting aerospace company and could have ushered in a new era of aviation development in Canada while giving Canadians a

The Super Car Guys dude reminds me of Doug DeMuro. Not totally sure why.

Definitely one of my top five. And the only Bond movie I’ve seen in the theatre twice. With hindsight, when you go back at look at the Brosnan Bonds you wonder how the franchise survived. Much more visceral and real. Some people would argue it’s more Bourne than Bond but it was a necessary re-image for a new era.

FINALLY!!!

This is every conversation I have with every non-enthusiast. I’ve reached the inescapable conclusion that they don’t actually WANT a recommendation - just an endorsement from the guy at work that’s into cars that whatever boring or ill-advised decision they’re making is a sound one. Just ask the friend of a friend
