Out of the at least 15 4Runner owners I know...maybe 1 has ever taken it off-road. Just like Jeeps, most are kitted-out pavement princesses.

There’s one on display at the Texas State Fair right now. When I went to put eyes on it most of the conversations I overheard were of people being very interested in it...in TEXAS. This truck will be very popular in the Urban/Suburban landscape (where 99% of truck owners never tow shit), even in ‘red’ states.

I was about to say the same thing. The labor alone to properly ceramic coat even with a $100 bottle of the stuff will easily get to $1k. 

Working in the Aerospace industry, this is 100% true. Sometimes the lead times for those test facilities is measured in YEARS. Same goes for the equipment needed to perform that work in-house (and you can’t really use the same equipment for newer generation technology, it must be replaced or upgraded at significant…

Between me and my brother in law, we’ve been to 8 dealerships in 2 years looking at either Stingers or Tellurides and NONE of them will allow a test drive without a credit check. Similar experiences with Hyundai and the Palisade. This spans central Texas and the DFW area.
