Black is selfishly trying to protect his Hollywood rep and his income.

The Fak brothers are a major highlight this season. Every time this show gets too serious or tense, the pressure gets released temporarily every time one of them is on the screen.

In NYC is was on at 11PM (as was Fernwood 2nite when that was on, it was a summer replacement), but I imagine that as a syndicated show some places showed it during the day.

Aw, is the billionaire bigot gonna cry some more?

She’s determined to finally cross the line where she’s better known for this bullshit than as a writer.

“Won’t somebody PLEASE think of the transphobes!”

“Spade” was pretty solid up until that wretched finale, though.

Monsieur Spade was a really great series up to its catastrophically horrible finale.  I’m still trying to wrap my head around what they were thinking with that one.

Terrific movie. Jack Black’s performance is wonderful, walking a fine line.

“Refreshing” is a good word for it. So few beneficiaries will admit this. I hear that they were not happy with the fact that Johnny drank thousands of dollars of wine a month but they bonded over their hatred of women.

Aren’t there a bunch of stars who get paid to pal around with dictators, but they try to keep it on the down lo?

Cleese is like Chevy Chase...it’s funny he’s an asshole but it’s also not really an act.  Eric Idle has always been too obsessed with famous people and money.  Gilliam has always been crazy and irresponsible.  Chapman was always a huge superior asshole.  Terry Jones was always a tyrant.  And Michael Palin was always

is a boring topic? or is it instead a manifestation of broader cultural feelings regarding the ability to advance in our society?

It is a boring topic. People can talk about Dakota Johnson being a terrible actor with no charisma without bringing up the nepo baby part.

Celebrities often cultivate an image of being nice, ordinary people. Once in a while there’s a crack in the facade, and you can get a glimpse of what kind of person that celebrity actually is. The crack in her facade revealed a particularly ugly quality. I think that’s why it’s not going away.
