If you drive a car so much that it requires a massive restoration; engine rebuild, re-manufactured body panels, custom-made interior bits, etc... is it the car you originally started with?

Trust me I know what it’s like to be short on time. I haven’t had any time to do much of anything on my 944 and it currently looks the part. I know what I am capable of doing in a relatively short time, and I can make it shine in a matter of days.. which I don’t have, because I work (beyond) full-time at a startup…
I agree it isn’t the best looking shifter. I have started a project on mine to convert it into a gated manual.
As a 944 fan & owner I can appreciate your work on this car. Lookin’ good!
I really don’t like the front bumper on this ZR-1. It’s unattractive and generic and somehow over-styled all at the same time, and I don’t think it fits the car. However I am impressed with the rest of the car.
hmm.. it seems I no longer have the option to edit.
hahahahah... Thanks for filling in for me. Now I am going to try to fix my post to show off the mighty Korean machines...
Hmm there was an unfortunate autocorrects in my post which I tried to edit and the pictures are gone.. sigh
I was very happy to have been allowed to drive this in a parking lot when I was 13:
Ha, I’m literally listening to the soundtrack right now... it is excellent.
Speaking from recent experience with 3M 08115, I can agree. Absolutely a magical adhesive, nearly couldn’t believe how well it holds steel components together. But in the one (extremely small) area where I got it on an unprepped surface, i.e. paint, yep don’t have much confidence in it there.
Only if it had extra gauges in your instrument cluster outside of your standard speed/tach/fuel/temp.
Maybe, but I don’t know if he could a Ford the time to.
My first guess would be the 2009 Ford Escape:
.
I had the same thoughts. Video almost felt a bit rushed, but I can still appreciate it.
hehehe yeah I guess so. But to be fair, I own this car as well and have been underneath it many times so I recognized it right away! haha
hmm, either that car is a 03-04 Tiburon or it looks a whole lot like it!!
Anyway, I had the same thing happen to my ‘03 lol. I used a cutting board and zip ties to close it up ;P
In winter of 2014, in -20C or -4F temperatures, the battery started failed to start my Hyundai Tiburon a couple times. I knew it was time for a new battery, but I was then also greatly focused on reducing the weight of my car, so I ordered an Odyssey PC680 battery as opposed to going into a local store for a…
haha I genuinely love to confuse people with my manual cars as well. I often do not hold the brake while I’m at a stop light (unless the ground isn’t level obviously), and my exhaust is loud enough for anyone to know that my car is on, hehe. I do wonder what people behind me think when they see this.
....probably don’t…
