I have a friend with an 80's Volkswagen Scirocco, and it was the first model year it was fuel injected instead of carbureted (‘87 I think?). Apparently, Volkswagen did not optimize the needs of this additional electricity, so he told me that when he ran a couple electrical items, such as a turn signal and has the

I have owned a 944 for almost a year and I have yet to have that open. Even the one time I took the sunroof off and when I put it back on improperly (i.e. just sitting there, not locked in place). Maybe I just didn’t notice. Weirdly, despite my sunroof just sitting there it eventually locked itseld back in.

As a Hyundai Tiburon enthusiast, I understand. Weirdly though, even after many years of ownership, that car still puts a smile on my face when I drive it.

And look at it :P

Ugggh can not agree more!! In a similar conversation, I mention why should I spend $1000 on a vacation that lasts one week, when I can spend that on an exhaust which I can enjoy 365 days of the year? (and even then, sell it later if I have to get money back; an excellent value) And after my 7 years of owning an

hahaha same problem here! I own a Porsche 944. It was $2500 Canadian. When I mention I drive an old Porsche 944 (and I do always include “944") people are suddenly like woah, that must be crazy expensive! And I say no, this is literally the cheapest car in the parking lot. Insurance is cheap, parts are (for the most

Hey, I didn’t know this. The newest car I own is 15 years old, which has a traditional tow hook underneath the body work.

NOW I KNOW. Thanks @David Tracy

612 has always looked alright, and dare I say even good to me. I like the subtle Ferraris.

I would 100% buy this. I have become confident enough with cars that high mileage doesn’t bother me. If something breaks, as it will on any car, I will just fix/replace it :P To add, if something is worn then I will find a way to restore it. In my high-mileage Porsche 944 I recently discovered a method to restore the

You can get an actual Maserati for that price, or even less. I just so happened to look this up on Kijiji last week.

Granted, I wouldn’t buy one, Chrysler-spec or not.

^ the ‘98 version on the top is actually the GT1 I prefer the most. I never was much of the type to have an unobtainable dream car, but, the GT1 changed that for me. I call it more of a “fantasy” car.

I have always liked those headlights, especially the later “Turbo”-shaped ones which became standard on all other 911 models. I <3 the 996, though I will admit the interior has its parts that were just a bit too 90's.

I would like to know who or what group actually designed it. I have never found confirmation that rumors like the one you brought up are confirmed. I have heard things ranging from saying the 03 models and up were designed by Pininfarina, I had one person who swears to no end that only models 07-08 were designed by

I am a die-hard Tiburon fan, and I don’t think there are any significant similarities, though there are similarities with the side window design, that’s about it. That said, many other cars had a similar side greenhouse design, e.g. Porsche Cayman

Came here to say this. I got my 944 for significantly less than 3900, and in a similar condition :P

They’re gorgeous. I would seriously consider them for the days I don’t feel like wearing the red Piloti Spyder’s as pictured in this post lol

I wear the exact red ones pictured nearly every day. They’re not perfect, and have worn a little more than I think a pair of shoes at their price range should, but, I still love them over one year later.

The problem is the execution. It is possible to make a design that isn’t boring that also isn’t ugly.

I literally just stared to appreciate the vertical slat like yesterday I think. And today I see these photos. Sigh. Definitely like it better without it though. In any case though it is definitely one beautiful car, but damn is it ever a massive one. I couldn’t believe its size when I saw it in real life which is a

Yes! Me too! If the temperature just barely warm enough I will open the sunroof. Even in the winter, I will occasionally open the window but turn on the heater so that I can hear my engine. I will also redline whenever reasonably possible lol.
