You know what’s incredible about how she responded to that girl? She didn’t just answer her question, she heard the plea behind it. That’s an impressive gift in a person- to hear the actual question being asked not just the literal words.

I don’t think Angelina is exaggerating. If Brad Pitt’s version is “Well I didn’t technically hit him and I wasn’t technically totally blacked out” then I imagine the video is pretty damning and Angelina’s side is probably closer to the truth.

It is a great counterpoint but- I teach high school and spend more time with teenagers than a lot of their own parents do. I have never gotten into a screaming match with a teenager. I have never hit a teenager. I have never made a teenager feel physically threatened.

I took a cab home with a guy one night and we spent the ride joking around with the driver. When I went to get out the cabbie asked if I knew the guy and I told him it was a first date.

My stepdad had visitation of his two sons because he was a yacht captain and sometimes had to be gone unexpectedly overnight/had a lot more travel. He’s an amazing dad, it just wasn’t realistic to have joint physical custody.

Especially Angelina- whatever else you might say about her, she seems like a great mom.

My friend was in grad school in New York and he moved out as soon as he got his degree (I don’t think he even waited for the graduation ceremony).
