I liked them as kids, I feel a little bad for them now, for all the reasons you’ve enumerated.

I always think of Donna on Parks and Rec:
“Andy, you’re fine but you’re simple.”
You’re right- words aren’t enough. They would have to be followed up with actions: work with/donate to organizations that assist victims of sexual assault- use his position to raise issues of rape culture and be an ally in fighting against it. That would show that he’s not only saying he’s evolved, he’s actually doing…
I don’t think he has to say “I raped her.”
I think he could say “obviously I made a horrible, horrible mistake. Her life was irreparable damaged because of me and there is no way that I can make up for that. But in the intervening years, I have grown, I have changed and I have learned to be a better man.”
My mom always told me that the movie and the book only have the name in common. Which is to say, you’ll generally be a lot less disappointed if you go in only expecting the bones of the story, and let the rest come at you like it’s new.
Oh my gosh! This is my first SNS, do y’all do a cross stitch thread every week?
My BF is making baked chicken thighs with homemade mac and cheese.
This whole thread is making me a hypochondriac.
I am all about women led comedies but I don’t know why they won’t just make fresh ones. I’d rather have an original comedy starring these women than a tired re-boot.
I teach public school and a friend of mine was telling me that when they have kids (they’re trying right now) he and his wife plan to send them to a public school and then just donate the money they would’ve paid to a private school to whatever school their kid goes to. That way they can support the local public…
This is a great comment, but if I could add a single caveat:
We’ve been watching on the NBC sports app, and I’m assuming we’re just seeing different coverage because my experience watching that race was totally different.
Really? I actually love The Real O’Neals. It reminds me of Bob’s Burgers- a family comedy where the family actually loves and supports each other.
Yeah, he’s what? 22?
This is the most annoying thing about the whole story. And it’s a story that includes Ansel Elgort so that should tell you something.
My boyfriend is the first guy I’ve dated who doesn’t want to fight. He doesn’t want me upset, he doesn’t want me sad or angry or anything because when I’m upset it upsets him and vice versa.
Whenever I’m fighting with my boyfriend I think of Long Ride Home by Patty Griffin.
Ok, so I watched the video a couple of times, is it a skirt? It looks like she might have tied a jacket around her waist.
I have a pair of Rainbow flip flops that you can PRY OFF MY COLD DEAD FEET and even then I’d probably put up a fight. They come with a lifetime guarantee and within a couple of days (sooner if you get them wet) of buying them they have completely formed to your foot.
