Your rights, famously, end when they begin to infringe on the rights of others. So standing in the road and blocking traffic (freedom of movement is a human right) is not protected free speech. Also the intimidation factor has a chilling effect on potential free speech of the one being blocked and/or surrounded.

If you are detained and suspected of committing a crime then you have to provide ID. This guy had warrants. He was probably known to this deputy, so that’s why the deputy insisted on ID. Now, if this deputy was dumb enough to just randomly decide he was going to get violent with an innocent passenger simply because

“Pissed off?! If I was that close to a horses wiener, I’d be worried about gettin’ pissed on!”
