Yes egress while in the bus requires stepping over the door(its a convertible). But its actually more roomy than I expected.

I agree it doesn't have to be new to drive easily, just well maintained. My RV/toy hauler:
Naw, my moniker is "The Only Good Gremlin." I have had my hand in programming, debugging, and Alpha testing many PC-based CarPC software components as well as PC-based GPS navigation software as my way of giving back to the CarPC hobbyist community.

I started to add the following reply to an earlier discussion (Why The Joystick-Controlled Car Will Never Die Or Actually Happen), but it's just a better fit here, although it does pertain to both.
I DID NOT!
Confirmed Bachelor, Retired, living a life of "ease and grace." Not trying to impress anyone but myself; appreciates the finer things, but not gaudy. Didn't want an exotic, just unusual and American. Slap some stick on numbers every now and then and go racing.
I'm seriosly considering a bus to haul my racecar. It's got a big Detroit diesel engine, a bullet-proof Allison 4 speed manual, 37' so the car, tools, and spare tires fit in the back and the front sleeps 4, complete with running water, toilet, 2 burner stove, microwave and fridge. Needs a lot of work to update it to…
For all those worried about training needed to fly the MiG-29, that's what sims are for. Give me 20 hours in a full motion sim, and I'd hoon that Bitch till the wings crack!
For those of us pushing the limits of the 99%:
There's a comment a little higher up that talks about 6-figure corporate managers doing the booth-babe. I am friends with the previous marketing company used by Cadillac. Their goal was there was nothing about the brand, the racing program, the concept cars nothing that they didn't know. And yes some of their people…
Check with the SCCA club near you for their autocross driving school. We have one here in STLSOLO every spring. Two days with a pro instructor, 25-30 laps on the course. Least expensive way to learn the limits of your car and unlearn your bad driving habits.
I tend to buy used because most new cars aren't appealing to me. But when it came time for my daughter to go off to college, used was never a consideration. She is not a gearhead, school was too far for me to come out to diagnose and repair the car overnight, she didn't have to show up her freshman year as "that kid…
I tinker with my cars - replace headlight bulbs, change fuses, diagnose electrical stuff (actually I can do minor mechanical); but when it comes to major mechanical stuff my little brother works on all my Caddies. He's a certified tech, decent at test drive diagnoses, and a great wrench. He makes me stand there while…
The "mesh grille" is supposed to be reserved for the V model, but dealers and owners have been putting them on anything since 2006. Also the grille hasn't been a true stainless/chrome mesh since 2010 when they switched to a chrome-looking plastic mesh that totally disappointed many V enthusiasts.
Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, "Now there will be the argument of "we can't race on that." Nothing in my racing life annoys me more than to hear someone say "we can't race on that." Racers are racers. I don't care if you give them a tricycle and a track in a swimming pool. If the prize is big enough, you…
Yeah, its really tough to try hypermiling with those Corsa's just begging to be WOT!
To answer the original question, my answer is neither! My needs are met with the cars I own outright. And like The Scrambler said, "A car is an expense, not an investment." So I don't give a rats a$$ about trade-in or resale value.
San Diego, Cali fornia
A buddy of mine help me with my daughter's birthday a while ago (she was 8 then). We took a G-5 to Cali all by ourselves. And when we landed, we had photographers taking her picture as she got out of the jet ala paparazzi! She starts vogueing and I laughed my ass off. It was priceless!
