Precisely.

Um... where's the controversy here? "Merchandise sold at retailer is better quality than they've said!" So scandalous!

Will there be a wonderfully themed wedding cake, but only serve pie to the guests?

I'm tickled that you include Epic Spell Wars in your list of recommended entry-level games. I can't recommend the game enough. It's a quick, easy game that has provided so much fun for me and my friends. I just wish they'd come out with an expansion or two... :/

I remember installing a floating point processor in my 486 to play quake

I picked up Red Dragon Inn on a lark from my old game store and have never been disappointed. It's so good and quick to learn that we all tend to play it more then any other board game I own. That being said Cat an and Ticket are both in my collection as well.

Pandemic (along with the On the Brink expansion) is my favorite game. The only downside is that it can be dominated by someone with a strong personality.

BTW, I can't recommend Boss Monster enough.

Haha thank you for that! There seems to be plenty of Nick Kroll hate going around here, but I think he's funny and I think Ruxin is one of the best characters on The League. To each his own, I guess.

Some even gave me their good deck and played against me with one of their new untested ones. It was pretty great! Bought my first deck a few days

It's information and honestly, if you aren't following e-games hardcore, it's still information that can be passed on and be "interesting". Honestly, I think the majority of readers that frequent Kotaku wouldn't be interested on an article about every happening taking place in some of these E-sports events. Gaming is

Kotaku is a website for gamers, not a website about games. Why did you feel the need to go out of your way to question it instead of scrolling on past?

Game Emulators are legal. It's the (vast majority of) game ROMs which are not.

Reese! We comin' for you, sucka!

As a person who wouldn't pay 60 for a digital game, you were not affected by this at all.

As opposed to what? Let me guess, the mobile device you use and think is infinitely better.

Licensing is often cited as a reason for region locking. If company A buys the rights for the US and company B buys the rights for Japan; without region locking company B's right would be violated if company A's game could be purchased in Japan.
